Nice shave, Jason! Glad you enjoyed your shave! The Tech is one razor I haven’t shaved with in quite a while. I may give it a go at some point!
Thanks, Joe! Have you smelled Lavanille? More going on than vanilla and lavender. Thank you, Jeff! Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk

Interesting! After my shave I use my alum block. Then I do a cold water wash with my MWF brush squeezings, rinse that off, and follow with my Humphrey’s Lilac WH (great stuff) and clean up as I let it dry. Then I apply AS or Balm.
It was memorable because it was during the blizzard of 47. It started Christmas Day and ended the next day for a total of 26 inches. My mother had to wear boots underneath her wedding dress.
Great Tech shave, Gary! I have a bottle of very old Alt-Innsbruck that’s been in my den cabinet for years. It’s unfortunately like kryptonite to my bride. I’ll probably give it to Ben or one of my older grandsons.
Without a doubt, one of the most difficult scents to describe. However, I did find this review on basenotes.net for the cologne and I do believe the scent is the same as the soap. "Clean, fresh but comforting, aromatic and mild. This scent projects the smell of some wet, very mild, stocked wood outside in a cold winter morning under the snowed peak of a Canadian mountain. This Guajaco wood's juice is not a very masterpiece, it lacks indeed distinction and complexity but in any case is devilishly good and airy with a wonderful guaiac wood's drydown. Citruses and exotic spices impress masculinity, an hint of watered cologne feel and a touch of pungent edge. This fragrance is the aroma of mountain-wood (humid, perfumed, sweet, aromatic), it projects in part a pencil shaving's vibe and is a dive in a magic world full of nature, dark-green appalling trees and exoticism. Sillage is very good on my skin while the longevity is ordinary."
Thanks, Jason! As you know my preferred blade is a Feather. The Kai is a smidge wider and almost as sharp. It is the first time I used it in the FB. That may be the ticket for me with that razor. The additional width may do the trick.
Well Happy Friday! Another Bay rum shave for tonight. Stirling Bay Rum shave soap Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum Aftershave (decanted in this glass old spice bottle) Gillette red Tip. nough said, ya'll have a great weekend, much work ahead this weekend for school.
Gem MMCP Gem Stainless PTFE (1) Semogue 22mm BC Mistura MWF Another quick shave this morning as my bed did not want to relinquish its grasp on me. Two passes and good enough to get out the door. I ended with a little roughness along the jawline, but not enough to worry about. Finished with a cold water splash. 12 hours later, it would still be good enough for me to head out on the town. Enjoy your evening.
