    Yates 921 H Plate
    Gillette 7 O’clock Black
ATG LE Shavemac D01 2 Band
    Savonniere du Moulin
Small Batch Shave Tonic Winter Reserve

Happy Saturday Everyone. I read through the huge Yates thread on DFS. @Dave in KY along with others recommended the H plate. The general thoughts are that the H plate is more efficient while being just as smooth. I had intended to use the M plate for several days but after reading the thread, I just had to give it a go today. I have not used the Savonniere du Moulin, Donkey Milk, soap recently so it seemed like a great idea to give it a go. The lather was so rich and slick. For those looking for a light scented soap, this one is worth considering. Now onto the shave. The face feel of the M and H plate are nearly identical. However the H plate with its 1.0 mm blade gap is much more efficient. I easily caught the baby in three passes with minimal touch ups. The overall sensation of this razor is smoothness. A splash of Winter Reserve and I am ready for the day. Maya along with her pup, Cody, should be home within the next hour. The house will be full of activity. Unfortunately, I am banished to the office until the test results arrive. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

  5. Fortunately my client site is not that bad. There are usually less that 8 people in the office with the remainder of the staff working remotely. We are all spread out in different offices and wear a mask when getting up from our space.

  7. Clint, I'm glad you had a good run with the razor. I may have missed it and didn't know you had been ill. Sorry to hear and hope whether negative or positive that you heal well and completely.

  9. Lovely shave report, Clint! If this were pre-straight shaving for me, I’d probably order the Yates. That button, fortunately doesn’t work anymore! Enjoy your weekend! :)

  11. Thank you Gents. I really don't think it is Covid. Back in 2016, I had a stress related case of TMJ that led to the same symptoms. The orthodontist finally diagnosed the problem. I am supposed to wear a mouth guard each night but have not really worn it in months. I think my negligence might have caught up with me. I started wearing the guard again on Wednesday night and my symptoms are getting better each day. I just wish the damn Covid test results would come in soon.

    Brush: JR #142 badger
    Razor: Superior Lather Catcher
    Blade: GEM PTFE
    Lather: Stirling Ozark Mountain
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Ozark Mountain aftershave

Haven't had a GEM shave in a while and rectified that today with this nifty Superior Lather Catcher. Nice shave all around. Used some Proraso pre-shave that was in the back of the drawer that I forgot about. It made an unsightly film in the sink bowl that I didn't care for. There isn't much left of it so I left it on the counter and will use it up in the next week. Finally got a Stirling order in that took almost two weeks to arrive. It contained Pig Trail bath soap which is the Ozark Mountain scent. I will use it for a while and then switch to Chestnuts Roasting bath soap closer to Christmas.

We have a small family party for Wilson later this afternoon. But first, Roll Tide! Enjoy your day.

  18. Great news, Clint! I sincerely hope that’s the case, but would TMJ explain your shortness of breath? :(
