December Focus Czech & Speake No. 88~~Simpson Rover~~Feather AC~~YSL Kouros I used to think that the Czech & Speake No. 88 was a "rose-ish" scent, but I really got a grassy, fougère feel, which really paired well with the YSL. I received this Rover today and put it right to work. I am not sure about the knot. Soft? Yes. Backbone? Yes. Flow-through? Yes. Uninspired shape? Yes. Who do they have tying knots at Simpson these days? Look at these examples from about 10 years ago: Now look at the Rover... The handle is nice and the butterscotch is lovely. It whipped up a lovely lather as you can see: I think I have purchased my last "new" Simpson brush. The Feather AC felt clumsy in my hand, having not used it for quite a while. Nevertheless, I was successful in not hurting myself, which is always a positive. The C&S is a Valobra-made soap with extra slickness and protection. Finished with Witch Hazel and a few sprays of the YSL Kouros.
