I was about to write they are a Sicilian sweet, but you've been already tols.
But as they are delicious, they can be found in Sicilian bakeries in some places.
The village close to where i live, used to have two Sicilian patisseries: one was awful: too sweet (this comes from rab domination in Sicily) but the otjher... was fantastic.
Obviously this one close as he wetired. It seems he was fed up of getting up at 2:00 each and every morning to make pastries...
Never met anyone more selfish!
The problem with being a touirist is you do not know who to ask for information...
When you'll be again in Turin, just let me know and I'll get you some interesting addresses.
There are some Historical cafe, like this one:
https://bicerin.it/.
Maybe there are other places better for snacks, but some are worth a visit for the atmosphere.
But it does not seem too disgusting what they offer...

By the way... I suggest you stay a month on a diet!

And also will tell you which restaurants deserve to be seen away from normal trourist traps!
To have something toghether we'll try to arrange, Steve!
