Switched to a ‘Canadian Rocket’ this morning. Loaded in a Personna Red which came from Evan recently, never used any of the Personna DE blades before.
Whipped up a nice lather with this finally softened knot. I suspect it is actually the badger in it that is pretty scritchy, as no boar I have has kept the scritch after this many shaves. Still, I have come to enjoy this knot.
Anyway, 3 passes later and 44 hours growth is fully removed. I found the blade a little tuggy on the first pass, but the results were good. Not many TTOs left in the den, but I enjoy this solid feeling tool. Another one that I have neglected for probably too long.
    Have a great day all!

Wonderful Yates shave, Clint! I’m sure Jim (@jluc) will enjoy his machine polished version currently wending its way to him! Odds (3/2) in Vegas are that it may not be shiny enough! I think the smart money’s on it not being shiny enough! Enjoy your day and stay safe my friend! :D

Brought out MWF for today's shave-actually this was first of another "trifecta"(I really need to get this soap working nice and moist-thus I'll do trifecta's all the time with the Fat). Nice shave. 0:30 for the first of two "loading efforts"(I felt I needed to do another for about 5-10 seconds). I should say that I gave it a quick bloom before my shower. Nice smooth feel as I got the shave going. Got a Knick just at the Northern border of South Porcupine Alley(next to the lower lip). Thankfully, I didn't hit a speed bump to cause it(speed bump Knicks/Cuts are the worst). Solid cheek work again(both sides). Sideburns gone except for those that are in the area just under my glasses frames. Cactus Nation a success again. Setting up the soap "with the grain" is becoming natural. I could have done better at Northeast Porcupine Alley(some astroturf left there, but not enough to cover an infield). With that and the aforementioned Knick, it becomes Super Duper Excellent).

Thanks, Danny! Our buddy, Bill (@Edison Carter), inspired me with that excellent video he made on honing! The shave this morning is without doubt, hands down, my best straight razor shave to date! :)
