Using a vintage shaving brush?

    I think condition would be needed to answer.
    I’ve acquired, cleaned and used some vintage brushes.
    Condition and your comfort level would be your two biggest questions.
    Are you comfortable using a used brush on your face, after a good cleaning I’d suppose?

    A picture would be useful. Do you know what type of bristles it has and its age? If you really love the handle but not the bristles, you can always re-knot.

    Sara has a good point. The bristles are not important, especially on older, vintage brushes. The handle is really what matters. If you like the handle, you can easily re-knot it. Believe me, it's really not that hard to do. There are many, how-to videos, about it! Also, there are many brothers on this forum that do it all the time. You may be able to strike up a deal.
