Hahaha ! As abusive as my shaving tools get they are still better than my days of using a cart razor Jeff.

I've only used a cart a couple of times a few months ago. I used an Omnishaver which used cart blades on my dome and ended up after three uses with a bunch of painful ingrown hairs on the back of my head. I'll stick with DEs, SEs, and straight razors. I evened out the top cap on the Spadson last night on my son's belt grinder. Hopefully the shave will improve. I'll wait before I try that safety razor on the dome again. I think I'll be able to shave the dome again tomorrow, but may give it another day off. Enjoy your shaves. :)

Fellas , as you know I have AWOL lately but rest assured I'll be back posting again soon. I've been either on the lathe or working on the plow truck or at my real job. Yes I am still shaving because after the last 2 hauls , she suggested I make use of the stuff before I buy more :p After the den overhaul I was given a passing grade for putting everything out of sight. Now hopefully I keep it that way. I will do a catch up post soon . I sure miss being here every day. Sigh. Take care guys !

Any time I've nicked my dome I try to wait 2-3 days to give it a chance to heal well. I haven't been on here lately but I sure would like to see this 'razor' you speak of . Happy shaves !

cart blades are known for such issues as they pull the hair out of the follicle and cut it .it then recedes back under the skin layer, with the skin healing over it before the hair grows through.result= ingrown hair.our razors of choice cut the hair at skin level only.

hello gents.i will be honest. one of my favorite gillette shaves requires a 1969 brit tech.brass /nickel plate handle compared to the U.S.version having an aluminum handle.smooth efficient razor with great balance, some weight and a fair gap/blade exposure.zamek head..surprised the hell out of me as i am dedicated to open comb designs.it seems the best gillette shavers aren't necessarily the most obvious/oldest or prettiest.:)..more news to follow..
