Ok, The plows didn't come on my street so I decided once again to clear off my car and see if I can move it out of the snow in case I get called in tomorrow. It's getting close to sundown and the wind abated so it didn't feel as cold as before. Mission accomplished, but I had to go in my car to warm up a few times. Now I feel much better that I got it done and knowing that I am able to get in my car and drive. I am back inside snug as a bug in a rug.
IWill have to go out to free my driveway as the Plows Came through ate today. Bastards! Perhaps the superintendent will make a delay opening for tomorrow.
@jtspartan It's a female fragrance. Sweet, round, intoxicating. Perfect with the soap / splash combo. Floris London is a great company. I've tried a couple of perfumes. All very pleasing. https://imgur.com/77Op6V6 https://imgur.com/IjDcnC7 https://imgur.com/EoYtTW4 https://imgur.com/2frEzE6
I would agree with you, but I figured them out. I am the last houseon a dead end street. I leave enough room between the passenger side and the curb so I can get in no matter what they do. I park it this way because I am facing the side street. Also, I am facing uphill because the cul-de-sac slopes to allow for drainage. Finally, I give my car enough room for me to backup in case I have to rock the car to get free. This also allows me to do very minimal shoveling. Actually, I use my strong legs to kick the snow about so I can make a nice path for me car. I have been doing this for years and we have had bad storms. Sometimes, it didn't take long for me to complete the task like I did today.
Thursday's Shave GEM Damaskeene GEM S/S PTFE (3) Lowborn Supply Blood Knot CTS Sandalwood Shaving Soap Dickinson's Witch Hazel CTS Sandalwood Aftershave I thought I saw a few snowflakes in the air early this morning, but then again it may have just been dust. I hope you Northern boys are doing fine with the Nor'easter. The Damaskeene may be the smoothest of all the GEM razors I have. It is mild but still very efficient, easily taming the sharp PTFE blades. 2 easy passes provided a very comfortable and efficient result with no irritation or mishaps. I do have two ingrown hairs though at the bottom of my neck that are bugging me. I am still baffled at what I may be doing to cause these random annoyances. Sometimes I will go 2-3 weeks without one, but they still show up to the party uninvited eventually.
I think they purposely do it because they know people shovel their driveways as soon as possible. They should have plowed early in the morning so they wouldn't bury homeowners who would shovel later in the day.
fine shave and pic Andrew.if i overdo it at the bottom of my neck i will get ingrowns, but not like cart shaves..
Lovely vintage shave, Andrew! I had a mint Damaskeene that I sold! I’m sorry I did! Enjoy your shaves!
Thanks Gary! It took some thought and planning. Fortunately, the snowfall wasn't too bad that I was able to walk on my unplowed street. If it was a significant amount of snow in the range of 15 inches and above, then I would be at the mercy of the plowers. I would also wait for the sun to come out to melt some of it away. I am not a young pup like you that can go all out. Lol!
