  1. Thanks, Joseph! It took me 10 months to sink it. I thought I had started using it in December of 2019. but I looked back at my SOTD pics and it was actually Feb 5, 2020.

  3. One would think that the destined recipient of a pristine TR6 who has more Japanese razors than Japan would have no problem coughing up a few crummy pieces for his beloved dear old dad. Just sayin’

I vote "razors for Jeff" for Christmas.

  4. I read the post and guessed a much higher asking price before I saw your figure. Truth be told, many here will spend multiples of that amount over the next year. I'm just a curious looker as I have more than enough supplies I enjoy using to last for years. I will occasionally pick up a new product out of sheer curiosity or because it gets consistently great reviews from people I trust. Good luck with the Den clearance. :)

  7. It takes longer than that to learn how to lather MWF. ;)

I actually used a puck of MWF several years ago. I had some trouble with it initially. I was also a relative newbie at the time, so I still had plenty to learn. I wound up grating the puck and pressing it into a shave stick. It worked well for me at that point. It was simply a matter of getting enough soap on my face and taking the time to build a proper lather. I can see why folks enjoy using it. It's hard to argue with the skin conditioning effect of the lanolin. I just ordered a few pucks of MWF bath soap that I will use in my pre-shave routine.

I used to poke fun at Arko...until I used it and found out it was a great soap. Same with Voskhod blades...now they're some of my favorites.

  11. There comes a time when you must ask yourself, is it still a fart if it has a lump in it?

  12. I've never seen the soap sticks for sale, unfortunately. I really wanted to try it.
However, this is the second time I've seen Smallflower restock the aftershave. Unless they keep finding some old warehouse stock of the aftershave, I'm going to guess it is still being made.

  16. One of life's great mysteries! Fendrihan considers it discontinued, but since it is made by the Tabac folks, who knows. Your supplier seems to have a pipeline at the very least. On eBay it seems most are shipped directly from Germany. I wonder if it is produced for domestic market there only now? Regardless, while I have wanted to try it, I may manage to get by without it. :happy097:
While I display my razors and brushes, the software gets kept in the cupboard. No use drawing attention to the disorder...:innocent
  17. Well, I didn''t get my shave soap today-but we did have that big snow yesterday-I'll give'em that.

  18. This is what happens when the wife is still visiting the new grandbaby and she ask me cook supper.

Never cooked in front of the fireplace but I love it when a plan comes together. 20201218_171423.jpg
  19. Does that mean you won't buy another again, or you just finished your current one?
