  4. If I had to create a short list, some of my favorites:
    Clauss (Fremont, Ohio)
    Maher & Grosh (Toledo, Ohio)
I like the above in their bigger sizes, and the below in the 5/8 range
Robeson (love the marketing for the Razor That Fits Your Face) Shuredge with the hammered tang (Rochester, NY)
or really any vintage razor out of Little Valley, NY

Seldom seen in Sweden, or perhaps never. Most common besides razors from Sweden.. is mainly Solingen and Sheffield.

  10. 7/8 Gauthier, a French ‘rattler’ type. Cream was SMN lathered with a Keyhole 4, and a bit of SMN balm finished up a lovely shave. I bought this razor at a brocante in Avignon in 2016 for €10. The scales were shot so Alfredo made some from a piece of Turkish burl walnut that I had. Turned out well I think.

    Cold Water Rinse
    TSD Iced Lemongrass
    Jayaruh #340 Badger
    Wilbert "Acme"
    CWR
    Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC

The TSD Iced Lemongrass Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #340 Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Wilbert "Acme" straight gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

The ACME Company produces a line of many fine products.

This Stenton had to be a monster in its day... there is one on page 87 that is 10/8+. The regrind was done beautifully, and it took a wonderful Coticule edge. That tang is so huge :).

  17. An old 7/8 Tuckmar with a bent toe that fortunately doesn’t intrude on the straight part of the edge. It’s sitting on the stone that finished it, one of Alex Gilmore’s hoard Nakayamas. This will be a travel razor when travel is a thing again, lol. Cream was T&H West Indian Limes from a sample pack, and Myrsol Limon finished up. I am BBS and then some!

EX-USU is Latin “from practice” or a phrase interpreted as using “to one’s advantage.” Definitely used to my advantage this Sunday.
