I sent off a pair of Levi’s and had a custom pair of Kevlar riding pants made using them as a pattern. In the winter I zip in a wind proof liner. During the summer the air flows through better than jeans. I have a jacket made of the same stuff. It’s so hot here that I needed something for protection that didn’t cause heatstroke. Towed my boat one time to the Hamptons with my Taurus Wagon. The only way to get on the Cross Bronx from the GW with that rig was to find an inch and take it. My all time fave is 95 out of NYC through CT. 65mph in the slow lane with solid cars in the left passing like you are standing still. If you drop back 2 car lengths the driver behind you with the bright white knuckles starts to explode. Actually I do have an SUV now, but I logged well over a million miles in sedans when I was a road warrior. 17 minutes of country road to work these days. I do watch carefully for the occasional Amish buggy.
