  3. Super nice setup Myles!

Great results with the combination Jason.

Sounds like a great time Patrick. Lots of fun. One of our 2 was an all out soccer fiend right up til she picked up the French Horn in band 6 years ago. Then all that energy exploded into music fascination.

  5. I don't know which would be cheaper ....goalie gear or and instrument. The goalie gear is less noisy though.

  9. December 19th

    Razor: Feather AC DX
    Blade: Feather AC Professional
    Brush: The Chalk Monster
SS & AS: Stirling Christmas Eve

The shave was pretty good this morning. I still struggle to shave with this thing. It's just a little too sharp for my current style. Probably need to practice with it a little more. BBS smooth but 4 or 5 weepers... I survived.

All is right with the world today! We did a quick search and found an almost perfect match for Kelsie's car. Our emergency fund is pretty much gone and Kelsie, my wife, and I discussed it. Her shared responsibility for the accident will be to start her own emergency fund. She doesn't have to pay us back but she does have to put a higher percentage of her income in savings for a while. Seemed a good introduction to adult responsibility. She agreed it seemed fair and agreed that having an emergency fund was important.

I feel bad for what we did to the salesman. Kelsie is an escape room actress and pretty good at hiding her emotions (she wanted that car SO bad. ;) We left my wife at home). While we negotiated price she kept looking up other cars and showing them to me. After we agreed on price we went through and pulled off the extra fees. In the end we paid $400 below the bottom of Kelley Blue Book's excellent price range. The salesman was trembling when we finished which was strange and made me feel a little guilty, but he didn't have to sell us the car.

  14. Nice setup for the shave Evan! Congrats on a great deal with the car purchase for your daughter!

WRT the Feather AC DX. I was successful with straight razors before the DX. Besides a much lighter pressure for both set down and shaving, for me, it takes a very low angle; barely a gap on the spine. Maybe that could help.

  16. Awesome shave Evan! Hope Kelsey is not hurt . You can replace a car....can't replace a child .

  17. Thanks Blair! I'll give that a try. It makes sense, I'm complaining it tops bumps but a steeper angle really should help. ;) I'll try it and let you know.

  18. Nope . It's the worlds largest axe in Nackawic, New Brunswick Canada. Probably belonged to Big Joe Mufferaw from Ottawa.

  19. Thanks Patrick! Kelsie is super sore but we don't think she has any long term injuries. :) The car took less than 2 days to replace. We feel blessed and protected. This was a speedbump. In a month or two it will be a distant memory.
