  1. Congrats on your upcoming anniversary and health milestones, Blair! You'll make it. :)

Good health, which includes keeping tabs on my weight, has always been a challenge for me. Keeping a food diary, eating better, exercising more, weekly weigh-ins, and public accountability are currently working. I'm nearing day no. 900 of my new lifestyle. :)

Unfortunately, I cannot help you with a personality disorder that requires you to own a tuxedo or even a neck tie. :)

Merry Christmas to you and your family, my friend!

  2. Nope. This is what I wear. They are seriously great jeans.

  3. Enjoyed my Stoylin shave this morning. I had Spice(both soap&A.S.). 0:35 to load the Stoylin li'l brudder. Man, that baby packs a wallop! Another "slow&steady wins the race" up the sides of N. Porcupine Alley(both passes-it should be done for pass 2 as well, just to be safe). Good job at Cactus Nation. Ice(whisker)chipping at the jawline(course that followed the ATG shave there). A slight knick, possibly at that rough area along N.E. Cactus nation. Caused no pain though. The spice&alcohol of the A.S. calmed it down. Gave me that tingly itchy feeling again, but I knew it wouldn't last long. Great, overall. Outta This World Excellent.

  5. Wonderful shave, Paul! I agree that slow and steady wins. Taking my time and just enjoying every step of the shave most always gives me better results.

I've been performing more ATG shaving lately. My two passes on my lower neck are both ATG. I'm also doing one or two ATG passes on my chin and upper lip. It makes a noticeable difference in the closeness of my shaves, and my skin tolerates it pretty well.

Bad news: today's UPS delivery was delayed. It was from a place called Clinique. I don't think there was anything in the box for me. That reminds me...I need to order some wrinkle cream. :D

    Merry Christmas!

  7. Duluth Trading Company's advertising and mailed catalogs are FREAKING HILARIOUS!

I've found Wrangler pants sizing to be true and fit pretty nicely for me. I do have a good bit from DTC though. Serious overbuilt clothing for sure. Firehose cargo pants, jacket, etc. when the temp outside requires it.

    Stay well and witty Charlie!

  8. Absolutely beautiful shave Dave. If I am not mistaken, Joe, @Primotenore, has express the quality of this soap in some of his SOTDs.

  9. Nice Gibbs shave Dave! Interesting fix for blade alignment. 3D printers almost make small manufacturing too easy. Did you download the STL file and send it to a 3D printer or is someone making them specifically? Just curious.

  10. Thanks Charlie!

My problem is portion size. Eating healthy (keto/caveman/paleo) isn't tough for me personally, I actually prefer cooking and eating that way, and stay in an 6-7 hour eating window. But.....overall a challenge when the 3 estrogen units in the house eat the opposite. I've done the diary and logging thing.....learned for my body and activity level that if I keep the carb count to less ~80 grams/day, weight loss or maintenance happens depending on portion size.

Merry Christmas to You & Kathy!

  14. Saying you're done with every purchase is part of the process. If you admit you're not done buying, you can't justify the "one last purchase". Psychology at its finest. Others may not truly appreciate the lessons you're teaching, but I do. Feel free to use that excuse if you'd like. We'll make a list. Let's see:

"Someone has to review it to know it's worth having. That might as well be me"

"This razor is appreciating and will just be more expensive later"

"I was drunk, or on Ambien, and there's no way to cancel the order... Return it?... They don't refund shipping so that would be crazy."

How about, "I didn't really want it, but I got an <insert accessory> with a lot and needed the razor to go with it."

"I heard it will solve my irritation issues"

"I was the only one on TSD without one"

"No one else had one and I wanted to be unique"

"The guys who have them say they're the best ever."

"It was the best price I've ever seen... I saved like $10000. No, no one sells it for that much, but I almost paid that much before I found it on sale at regular price."

"It said LE in the name, and that's TSD code for 'must buy now'"

    ...

This is not an exhaustive list. Just so you know.
