SOTD CHRISTMAS MORNING, DECEMBER 25, 2020

Despite my best intentions, my grandson, Nate, slept on. Last night I touched up the Wade & Butcher 7/8 on the jasper stone. I do enjoy using this new-to-me straight razor. It feels good in hand, and the resulting three pass (WTG, ATG, XTG) mug shave was excellent! For the dome I selected my SS Supply V2 and loaded a Schick Twin blade. The two pass (ATG, ATG) noggin shave checked all the boxes. My bride, as usual every Christmas, will be scurrying around worried about Christmas dinner with our pod. We’re having only 7 this year thanks to the plague! In any case it’s time to go downstairs, wake my grandson, and prepare for a wonderful day! I feel smooth, clean, and velveteen! RAZOR: Wade & Butcher 7/8 (Mug), SS Supply V2 (Dome)
BLADE: Schick Twin
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Viking Silvertip Badger
SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by Humphreys Lilac WH and Osage Rub.

The razors are advertised as 'Handmade' out of 304 stainless. My understanding is each razor machined old school. Very labor intensive.
