    Thanks Jim.

Thanks Jeff. I have a spray from doctor that helps break open the sinuses.

Great report Dave. My first video was crappy too but they get better . Hope to see one from you.

    Awesome Jim.
    Thanks Clint.

    Maybe next Wednesday.

    Thanks Gary.

    Thanks Gary.

Great shave Clint. I sure hope your dog is ok. They are more than a pet , they become family.
Veddy nice brush Gary. Sticker seems straight too. Lol
    Love your ingenuity Danny.
  3. That's not going to be fun.
    That's good news!

Art of Shaving SC - Oud
    PAA Switchback 400 w/TGN 2 Band Badger
    Filarmonica Doble Temple
    PAA Star Jelly
Art of Shaving 'Cologne Intense' - Oud Suede

All this talk of Oud enabling me to use a favorite, should be brought out more often. Lather shot below tells the story for the cream & suds....switched the PAA 400 handle to a ferrule having a badger option, works better with soft creams. Only enough in this AoS tub for 1 more shave...it's near history. 3.5 passes with a 4th generation Filarmonica DT 5/8 to a very nice BBS result (as called by wifey this morning :)). I'll go with a BBS-. Couple small dots of crimson during the shave, no drainage though. Squirt of PAA's Star Jelly definitely had some feedback (this blade shaves harsh imo). Followed by the matching AoS 'Cologne Intense' Oud Suede.....now smelling glorious for errands with wifey (curb pick ups....that social distancing thang).

The AoS Oud website shaving cream description only references 'A proprietary blend using our Oud Suede Cologne Intense'. The shaving cream smells identical to their 'Cologne Intense' Oud Suede, which mentions....

'Oud Suede' carries a 25% premium over other fragrances in their cologne category for the same volume, but the shaving cream does not. The oud wood chips appear factored in $ wise for the Cologne Intense. I'm guessing they use the cologne to fragrance the cream.

  6. I have a Chubby 2 Super, Danny, and my @MrEE Danger handle with a Maggard SHD two-band knot performs every bit as good. Unless you just want a Simpson brush, put a Maggard SHD two-bander in your LE handle and see what you think.

I will admit that Simpson makes some very cool looking handles. @brit is being a real meanie by posting all them group photos. :angry032:
  7. Thanks, Patrick!

  8. Nice combo Pierpaolo.

Wonderful shave Joe. 700 bucks ? Wow.

My late grandfather had a Caesars crown and wore a flat cap so the bald spot was covered and looked like he had hair. He was never ashamed of his baldness back in the day as men always removed their hats when entering a home or in front of a lady. I get the Mr.Clean comments also at times.
Thanks Joe. I maybe need some Proraso up the nostrils . The spray from doctor helps but the pain in my face is not very enjoyable. It actually broke free a bit last night.
  9. I am with you on this one, Danny!

  11. I apologize for preaching, Joseph. The thing I most love about our hobby is that our tastes are all different and that we have so much variety. I like my "luxury" products too. In fact, family members tease me about always wanting the best. :)

Your newfound FragHead interest will probably inspire me to unload my wallet a time or two in the future. I'm already thinking about gravitating away from aftershaves to a few more colognes along with my moisturizing products. It will take awhile for me to use up my AS stash, though. As a first step, I've already given up Clubman. :)

If @Keithmax is the FragDaddy and you're a FragHead, I want to be a FragBubba since I'm a Hillbilly. :D
  12. Thanks for the compliment, Joe. However, I think it's the other way around minus the Southern accent.

Thanks Blair. This sinus thing is hereditary and pays a visit every winter. Hate to see it arrive but feel like a new man after it leaves .

    Thanks Danny.
  14. Nice shave Blair! The newer Filly's were not as good as when JMP was running the show. It went downhill after he died and the business was taken over by his daughter.
  15. Thanks Joe. That's a high complement. :)

  17. As an alternative, you can also place Vick's Vapor rub on the stache and let the fumes permeate into the nostrils to clear the sinuses.
