  2. 2020-12-31, Thursday

A sunny day: does it mean the year is ending in a bad way so that the new one can start with proper weather, or is it a promo on what awaits me for the rest of the winter?

Since for me it's just another Thursday, I'm thankful that it's cold so the neighbors won't dream of making noise outside while I'm watching a movie from the series Millennium: Noomi Repace is perfect for the evening!

The soap I chose provided an excellent and pleasant shave, despite the light bursting into the bathroom: it's a day of contrasting sensations...

    2020's Last Shave (Thursday)
    zcws.jpg

    Cold Water Rinse
    De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #395 Badger
    Triceratops 3D Printed Razor
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC

Today: Triceratops with green head and black handle.

The De Vergulde Hand Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the Triceratops 3D Printed Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Citrus Musk EdC. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  14. Thursday morning - my final shave for 2020:

    Neutrogena Men Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Minora day 6
    Bundubeard Gentle Giant SS
    Nip Man ASB
    Old Spice Classic AS Splash

When Jaco creates a soap he puts so much love into it as well as the best ingredients. This Gentle Giant has a scent that can win an academy award because it’s so GORGEOUS, the lather is MAGNIFICENT, it gives such great blade glide, and the skincare is perfect. The Nip Man balm has a beautiful minty scent, it gives a good cooling sensation, and the moisturizing is awesome as well as the soothing. The P&G version of Old Spice is fairly nice but I much prefer the original Shulton one. Three passes did the job for me - such a super duper BBS shave!

Be well and safe - I wish you wonderful guys a Happy New Year!

  16. Great photo once again. I do hope you have a peaceful evening in which you can enjoy your TV show. We, too, dread the noise of the new year celebrations. We live way out in the woods in the middle of nowhere, yet people in the distance manage to disturb our dogs with fireworks. Our dogs get worked up quite a bit from the noise and I suppose it's because noise beyond anything naturally occurring in the woods is quite foreign. Even thunder is more tolerable to them than the startling fireworks.

Anyway, when you mentioned Millennium, I initially assumed you were referring to the US TV series from 1996 of the same name (chalk that up to my American-centric inclination). The series was by the creators of the popular X-Files series, but it was much darker. It starred one of my favorite character actors, Lance Henrickson. The show's motif centered around the ouroboros. As I was reflecting on your post and the Millennium TV series from the 90s, @jluc 's post of his Leviathan set popped up. Coincidence? Certainly. But creepy nonetheless.

See my comments above regarding Millennium and ouroboros. Very cool, clean pic, by the way.
  17. Thanks, Matt!
I'm not familiar with any of those series so the coincidence is lost on me.
