It has been reported that the replacement of shave den items ‘consumed’ is not a violation of the official No Buy Treaty. It is reasonable to assume that the BST arrangements qualify as ‘item consumed’ by most journeyman level shavers.
Great post David and the polished Yates is gorgeous. Is the handle Yates? Looks like a polished West Coast handle. Take care!
Thanks Jeff! I always did enjoy hot water shaving, but my skin would always get irritated. When I got into wetshaving a few years before I joined TSD, I read that cold water shaving minimizes irritation, so that's what I did. I guess my technique has improved to the point that I can finally have hot water shaves. I have always had great shaves these past two years with cold water, but the hot water really makes it easier to shave my stubble. I still will do cold water shaves in the winter, especially when I will use Cryogen. I am planning on doing a Cryogen shave this month and maybe 2 in February!
OK, I'm in. My plan for this month is to try Derby Premium blades in the two razors I haven't tried 'em in yet and see what happens. I think I'll also try using the Maca Root & Aloe cream more often 'cause I'm worried by how little of it I've used so far (I started using it exactly a year ago).
Great way to start the month Joseph! Love your reports and enjoy following along with your shaves. Take care!
Great shave and excellent setup. My name is Danny and it is great to have you aboard. I am the one Charlie @wristwatchb probably warned you about.
A long, skinny, textured (for more friable surface area) deep fried doughnut with sugar and cinnamon on it. They sold ‘em everywhere at Disneyland. Apparently not recommended by Weight Watchers...
A few years ago, I drove a 15-passenger van full of ladies to South Carolina on a mission trip. I received kudos from all of my passengers on the 12-hour trip. When I got to SC, I was asked privately by the guys about the secret of my success. 1. Every time home made snacks were passed around, I readily ate them in excess and complimented the person that provided them. 2. If a few minutes passed without snacks being passed, I inquired accordingly. 3. Every time I saw a Cracker Barrell, we stopped and ate. Simple...just like falling off a log. P.S. We had 3 Ford rental vans. I got to choose first. I grabbed the V-10 for the coolness factor. We were the last van to arrive in SC, but we had the best trip.
