    Thanks for the explanation. That is really valuable information. I have Pinaud Clubman AS and definitely like it. In fact, I used some today. I'm not much of a fan of lilac, unless it is on the bush. Somehow I don't think that would work for me. I prefer earthy and musk scents.

    Hmmmm......not nearly that good of odds Jason. Let's say the odds are approaching 30/70 which is not as bad when one considers they started at 10/90. I also have a Tatara Masamune that is a perfect match for the brush.

    It's ok. It is Pinaud Clubman Lilac Vegetal aftershave.
    Barbers in the 50's through the 80's used it after a neck or face shave with a good old fashioned straight razor!

    Ok. I talked to one of the custom straight razor guys to see if he could make one of the models without a smile. He couldn't and he gave me a valid point as to why, but he agreed that he can do all the other things that I wanted. However, he said that he is coming out with a new line that is a lot straighter than the model that I was interested in purchasing. Now, I am more interested in this newer model because the width can go up to 13/8. A 13/8 straight would definitely make my Mad Max look small. Needless to say, I was salivating. Lol! I will contact him later in the month when he gets ready to start making his new line of razors. Again, it comes down to the cost and aesthetics. Time will tell. Yes, I admit it! I am impressionable! Lol!

    Thank you, Jason! The Merkur is basically an Old Type clone, but with a neutral blade exposure. It's a more mild shave than the two Old Types I have. Yes, the Reserve Cool blended very well with the citronella today. :D Not one bite so far...
