    I worked........once.

    Never liked it.

Then...I got this job watching others work.

All of a sudden work was a glorious undertaking that I had no problem with.

Great shave and seeing Vault Boy but he needs a mask ;)
Thanks Joe. I payed far less but have seen these go for $250-300 and felt some may not have been happy with the shave quality verses cost ratio.
    Nice shave Jeff. I don't need a aronson, I don't need a Ronson...........
Thanks Blair. As far as the NB you have my support either way. I'm in no position to judge anyone

Neither of us use a lot of scented products, Paul. We both have a couple that we prefer. Hers would be considered classics (or old fashioned :)) as they have been around for many years.

Before I started traditional wet shaving, I had Old Spice and Stetson. I must have given both of them away because I don't remember finishing them. I have several vintage Avon containers that I've had since I was a kid. My Aunt sold Avon. A few years ago and before I knew there was any love for vintage Avon, I poured all the juice down the drain and kept the containers. :shocked003:

The classic drugstore aftershaves all smelled pretty "loud" right outta the bottle. I'm sure they settle down once applied. They just didn't do anything for either of us. They're obviously quite popular, though, or they wouldn't still be sold. No offense intended to anyone here...just sharing our personal experience because it was humorous to us.

We both have funny stories about coworkers (our friends) that tended to over-apply colognes and aftershaves. They had no idea. It makes me wonder how I unknowingly come across to others. It's all good. :)

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Martens HDW Co. 11/16” Kingwood scales
Brush: Shore Shave Creamsicle Swirl 24 mm White Synthetic

    Aftershave: Stirling Satsuma
    Additional Care:
    Barbero Alum Block
    Stirling Tea Tree Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
I did manage to try a few new soaps during the first half of 2020. (I have not purchased any soap since June, although I have been tempted by a few of the enablers here.). Choosing the top five out of the eleven that I tried was not easily. Also, there are a few samples I have obtained during the past year that I have not used.

Stirling Satsuma has received SWMBO’s approval. Additionally, I know how much Joe, @Trigger, loves this soap and scent. Naturally, I had a wonder three pass shave with a voluminous lather.

Prior to showering and shaving, I buzzed my hair, which I do every three days. However, I decided to take in one step further, after the facial shave. I used the remaining lather and the straight razor to clean up the area in the back of the neck.
Overall this was a downright awesome shave.

Have a great day gentlemen. Now it is time for some football.

    Frank Shaving Manchurian 2-Band
    Stirling Electric Sheep
    T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Proraso Green Aftershave

Travel shave today as the kids and I are visiting my mom and stepdad in Alabama. He's been home from the hospital for a month now and is in much better condition than when I saw him last, around Thanksgiving. He still needs the use of a walker to move around, but I am encouraged by his progress.

The humble FS brush whipped up some excellent Stirling Electric Sheep lather this morning. If I take a walk near the lake today, I hope to see the benefit of the citronella.

2+ passes with the first year Flare Tip provided a comfortable and efficient result with no irritation or mishaps.
