    Chris - I have used both hot and cold water shaves. The brush is lather and placed in either shot or cold watered brush scuttle for a few minutes. Each provide a different sensation. It just depends on my mood. Lately, it has been predominantly ice watered shaves.

    I get it, but only on the idea that everyone is different. I recall my Warrant Officer candidate course. I took cold showers and did what ever was necessary. No longer, now that I am retired from the military.

    Brush: Sorrentino Orange Crush/Cashmere
    Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Continues)
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: CHH Tobacco
    Fragrance: Scuderia Ferrari Black

    Took the Yates back out for a spin and again a drama free shave but only while paying attention especially on the atg pass. It feels more aggressive to me but still waiting on the spare top cap to arrive (already have a spare base plate) and I will put a fresh blade in both as well. Extremely close shave though and ready (NOT) to tackle the day. Have a great day everyone and thanks for reading !

    I am going to the middle school today. I look presentable so I do not need to shave, especially with wearing a mask

    Thank you Joe. The Nodachi has a longer handle, larger blade gap and more blade exposure. The is also subtle differences in the threading on the top plate.
