January 4th Yaqi Katana w Voskhod (1) Simpson Sovereign (T2)/ Resin B&M Reserve Cool combo Thayers Loaded in the other 1/2 of the Voskhod blade and had another decent shave with the Katana earlier this morning. The blade felt sort of rough on the first pass dealing with 40 hours worth, but smoothed out over the next 2 passes. The lather was very good, but I did have to work at it a bit. There was some talk on here of soaps that had 'changed' over a period of time. As I've written about before, that is this soap for me. It is now the only soap I regularly bloom and I load a ridiculous amount of product in the brush so there is a lengthy building process. It does reward it though. A slick, shiny lather for sure. The scent of this Floid Blue dupe is truly one of my absolute faves. Anyway, another event-free result with the Katana. PS- I got a new phone and I might have to step up my photo taking- there are scratches visible on the brush handle that simply aren't visible with the naked eye. Yeesh. Have a great day all!
Thanks, Joe! It's USPS. Haven't had a package go from LA to Seattle before. Usually straight to Denver, occasionally a stop in Grand Junction. Curious where it's going to land next. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
My Bill Neumann aftershaves began in Williamsburg, VA(where the shop is), but went to W. Virginia first. I thought they'd come right up Virginia to DC, then put it on a plane. The travel routes they take can be quite weird.
Excellent shave Jason. It appears that your taking a stab at the Yaqi Katana is worthwhile. Not a bad price point either.
Fine shave Jim! I think the postal service employees need a refresher course on how to take direct routes.
Thanks Gary. Handle is one designed by Brian of CG for WCS Thanks Andrew and yes, exactly. Cap is out for delivery today too. Nice shave and pic Joseph
