Wow....that Stoylin Sheep shave soap is just as described. Read below for what it smells like. ........but that's fine with me .
January 4 Gillette NEW Short Comb Feather (1) JR # 160 Louisville Slugger handle w/Omega 10098 boar knot Tabac soap Alum, Witch Hazel, Unrefined shea butter, Almond oil, Captain's Choice Bay Rum AS & Aramis EdT I have my January rule kit teed up for tonight's first shave. As a final shave with my December gear (A3 Gillette Red Tip & MrEE Danger brush), I performed a long lasting 4+ pass BBS shave two nights ago. I picked up this NEW SC a few years ago as a NOS example. It shaves beautifully, and I look forward to spending time with it this month. JR # 160 is made from an end piece of a bat that was turned on one of the lathes from The Louisville Slugger Museum. It has one of my favorite knots, an Omega '98 boar. It should do a number on the Tabac . My Bride and I plan to get outside and enjoy this beautiful day. We have a roast in the crock pot for a late lunch. And of course, it's a Hammy field watch day. Grace and Peace.
Well I don't know...Denver's a lovely area...the Rocky Mountains, sunny 300 days a year, (YOU NEVER SAW THAT LOL)
That's become the norm as of late. There has been a lot of what appears to be false scanning to make it look like they are moving more packages than they actually are. I've had packages received and departed the same location several times before it actually arrives at the next stop. I'm probably wrong about the reasoning behind the extra scans although I don't know what else it could be. Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
Thanks Dave. I hope your day is going well. The Hammy photo is for you. This is no such thing as a NB on watches.
January 4th Simpsons Shaving Cream PAL Injector (L) Supply Co v2 (••) Schick Proline B-20 (2) Brad Sears Shave Works - Hybrid Badger Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Star Jelly paco rabanne EdT pour homme Another day of using the Simpsons shaving cream, trying to deep six the sample container included as a gift when I ordered the CH2 Chubby Synthetic. Only a 2-3 shaves left I imagine. Lather made from the BSSW hybrid knot and the cream is delightful, super thick, slick, peaky with a nice sheen. Incredible face feel, rivals anything I use. This version is unscented, only a small 'waxy' aroma present. Easily could be a daily use product, they do have simple fragrances to choose from (Sandalwood, Vanilla & Rose, etc.). Second comparison shave with a Supply Co V2 Stainless Polished razor and a vintage PAL Adjustable, both loaded with a Schick B-20, both on their second use. It's easy to see the how remarkably similar these razors are in design, not only in shaving for me, but also when looking at the images I've included of them together below. The Supply Co V2 (106g) is exactly double the weight of the PAL Injector (53g) by my scales. The other difference is the handle length and curvature design. Used the Supply Co V2 on the right side this time, the PAL on the left. 3 passes, no shenanigans at all. Dolphin smooth BBS results from both razors. Warm water rinse and washcloth wipe followed by PAA's Star Jelly. Finished with a @Primotenore enabled cologne purchase, a vintage 'estate sale' of paco rabanne's EdT pour homme (think Fougère ala Brut, but oh so much better). USPS delivery late Saturday (this was ordered 12/27 so I keep my NB '21 intact). Absolutely a wifey approved fragrance, rose straight to the top of her favorites on first use . Today I changed the Supply Co V2 razor to the 2 Dot plate, kept the PAL injector on L. ~36 hours growth, wanted to have a decent amount of stubble for reduction. Shaving angle and blade engagement to my face....feels practically identical, although it does depend ever so slightly on where one grips the PAL handle. This is slightly odd, as the images will show the blade clamping/holding design is very different, but it doesn't feel different while shaving. The curvature of PAL injector's handle can change the engagement angle, but only minimally imo. Blade exposure and feel ever so slightly leans more aggressive with the Supply Co V2, but it's really close if one isn't paying attention. Head width between these two razors is identical to feel, probably need to drag out the micrometer to know the difference. The extra length of the PAL injector handle is a little bother.....it ends up hitting my shoulders and/or chest when at the bottom of pure N-S pass. Genetics gifted me with a short neck, one that can't even wear a mock turtleneck without it hitting my chin....so the PAL's handle length may not be a consequence for others. If one were to shave with either of these razors blindfolded.....I'd daresay one would have a tough time discerning the difference between the two if both had a smooth polished handle. Hopefully the images below will show the similarities between these two razors. The first makes it appear for a different shaving head angle, but that's only due to the extra handle length of the PAL injector. I do want to thank @PLAla for letting me borrow the PAL injector for the comparison. I'll be getting it cleaned up for a trip back to it's owner. Hope everyone has a Magnificent Monday! Virtually identical head angles, despite the apparent design difference: Same head width, different handle length: More on the head design clamping difference, but very similar safety bar dimensions/blade gap:
You better get your application over to Jeff for the MOLC. At the rate he is going he may look at next year....after all he is a man of leisure.
