  4. Excellent shave Danny. However this post begs the following question to be asked:
Do you always do as your told?

  6. Fabulous shave Joe. I am not sure about the Patchouli scent. A lady at work wears this all the time. I gag every time she works past me. Even if she was the prettiest and hottest woman in the world, that scent would just be a cause for a major limp biscuit. Perhaps it is a cheap version of the stuff. I don’t even want to ask her the name of the perfume for fear of insulting her when she asks if I like it.

  8. Welcome to the Club...:happy088:
  9. I hear you, Joe. She was probably wearing, what I would call, "dirty patchouli". The stuff of head shops. Believe me, the Givenchy scent would change your mind completely.
  10. What's the challenge, Charlie? Finding the angle? Balance of the razor? Enquiring minds want to know...:signs002:
  11. YMMV! I think they hit their design/functionality pinnacle 20 years earlier with the NEWs in different forms.
Yup- think about what they accomplished in the late 20s to mid 30s- Their OC TTOs...The New Improved Art Deco handles...The elevator cases...
Way cool. What a decade, and right in the middle of the Depression to boot.

  12. RIMSHOT!
  13. Interesting. When I did my Russian blade comparison, the Voskhod was second only to the Sharp Star, but I thought it was a very good blade. I like the St. Petersburg steel better than the Moscow steel.
  14. I should have phrased it differently. They "hit their stride", producing a great TTO razor "for the masses". How's that?
  15. Can't say I disagree with your assessment of English Leather, Charlie. @Paul Turner NO, that's NOT a double-negative. :rolleyes005:
  16. You're the president of that club, correct? Or...was it founding member? I can never remember...:shocked029:
  17. Thanks Evan.

  18. I'll take that as a compliment...:happy088:
Different razors, though. I was just pointing out that the Sharp Star had better results in the Katana than the Voskhod did. I will use some of these in this razor as well. This is Science!
    No question.:yoda.

  20. Joseph, overall the SC is shaving just fine. I'm a bit challenged maintaining the correct angle and pressure while navigating the bulb of my chin. I've had weepers on both shaves so far. This is one of the areas I will chase a BBS result, so I'm stretching the skin, reapplying lather and shaving that area in all different directions. I doubt I'd have any problem if I was using a Voskhod instead of a Feather blade. Slowing down and focusing a little more in this area would certainly help.
