  2. Great R41 shave, Joe! I like the R41 as well! I noticed your third party handle. What brand? It doesn’t look like an IB Bulldog nor like a Weber. Just curious! Enjoy your Saturday! :)

  3. Thanks guys.

A little colder and more windy than I usually like for this. Got them all in the big Weber Smokey Mountain. 3-4 more hours, if I’m lucky.

  5. Sounds good! I'll bring enough beer that I'll have to ring the doorbell with my elbow.

  6. Thanks, Joe! My Christopher Bradley was my first Modern Artisan razor, and shaves so well I acquired a couple of extra baseplates. Since that time I’ve purchased a number of modern offering from Classic Shaving, Charcoal Goods, Timeless, Blackland, and H&SCo.. I’ve sold all of them. They were all good shavers, but not great shavers! The only Blackland offering I still have is my Vector. I sold the Tradere. In addition, I’ve also kept both of the razors I bought from Colonial. The other modern razors still in the den are the Rex Ambassador and the Supply, both of which are staying. I’m currently in the process of winnowing down my vintage razor collection.
  7. Thanks, Gary! Good afternoon!

  12. Saturday's Shave

    '54 Gillette Flare Tip (Z1)
    Gillette 7OC Super Platinum (2)
    Omega 11126 Boar
    Stirling Electric Sheep Shaving Soap
    T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Williams Aqua Velva

Day #9 with the Electric Sheep focus and day #7 with the '54 Gillette. All proceeded according to plan with this morning's shave. I went back to my 2+ pass routine which resulted in a comfortable and efficient shave with no irritation or mishaps.

The inside of the Stirling jar is now showing its green bottom, forming the 'end of days' soap ring. The recent 60 second brush loads are taking their toll on the Electric Sheep and it may just barely endure through the end of the month.

I have been completely useless this morning. I did finally manage to get in a shower and a shave. I did change out the OSS base plate for the B1 Deluxe OC base plate. I had this setup years ago and stupidly sold it off. The big DD boar whipped up the MWF into a wonderful rich thick slick lather. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free near BBS. A splash of my seldom used Floid Blue left me feeling and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.
