MWF and Floïd Blue...a terrific combination. Hope the rest of your weekend is as good as this shave, Clint.
Well Primo, I'm more focused on the NB than the week-long thing. But I see I get the same reaction from you on both counts.
Oh? I believe you had the laughing drinker for both. I would have easily recognized the other gentleman.
My "focus" for this soap has been to use it to the point of its completion. I already knew well the nuances of its scent and lather, so there was no learning curve to overcome any barriers. As a byproduct of daily use however, the shaves have been excellent and the skin has benefitted from the lanolin and shea butter contents of the soap.
Thank you, Dave. Doubling my usual brush loading time of 30 to 60 seconds will help sink more soaps this year, and thus further my goal of a streamlined soap lineup.
I must have been listening to those members here that employ "leg breaker loan shark tactics" on their soaps...
Excellent first run with the Above the Tie aluminum SE1. The Yaqi Evil Zebra whipped up some very nice ATT soap which is made by Razorock. I completed three passes with the SE1 with no blood loss. The alum was a little warm but nothing uncomfortable. Finished the shave with some Black Tie Gentleman which is a dupe of Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford. I need some more driving time with the SE1 but off the bat I really like it. I think it is a little better driver than the Hawk V2 aluminum but I would really like to do some comparisons after the Gillette focus next week especially with the stainless steel V3. Take care gentlemen!
Excellent shave Andrew! It's gives me great satisfaction when I deep-six a puck. Unfortunately, I end up with leftover aftershaves. So, I have to use them with other soaps that are compatible.
