I've been doing this for several years before I learned just today there's a thread about it here at TSD
I use the same razor every day - General by Colonial. I received mine on Dec. 23 2016. Exception: I love my straight razors and have never been tempted to use a SR every day, but I do like to use them periodically whenever the mood strikes me.
I use the same blades (Kai Captain Original and Schick P-30) one brand every day for one month before I switch to the other brand
I use my soaps anywhere from 30 to 45 days at a time
I use only one aftershave splash. Same every day, and have been that for at least 5 years - Superior 70 Mentholated, with added menthol and 444 ASB
Sometimes, but not always, I like to use the same brush from day to day. This is because I have several favorites
I don't care for scents, so I don't ever use them in my shaving process. There might be an occasion that warrants a splash of something or other, but rarely.[/QUOTE]

Charlie, my watch arrived today and they sent the wrong Vostok. This tank commander is nice looking, but is a lesser watch than the 200m amphibian. Hopefully the language barrier with the seller won’t be a huge deal:

Sorry to Gary @brit for being a slacker during your Gillette focus , but sometimes life happens to put it lightly.
Anywho ... since I haven't shaved since Saturday and its Wednesday now here I'm proud to announce I am way less scruffy and smell dang good. For some reason the Brut transports me back to when I was a kid watching my Dad shave and him splashing it on my cheeks.
Used the P1 Gillette TTO( not sure of its proper name...help me Gary)with a Rapira Platinum for a winning combination of sharp and smooth. The Williams lathered like a champ with my triple 9 made faux horsehair synthetic brush.

Hate to say it, but I find Feathers far less likely to irritate, but one of the reasons for the rule was to learn to get ‘more from less’

So to start off today with the extra whisker growth due to yesterday's less than BBS shave I decided to put a wet towel in a glass bowl and heat it in the microwave. After wetting my face good I applied a TRUE HOT towel which felt great and I feel helped me get the whiskers softened more than what I normally get since I don't shave after a shower (Evening Shower guy here) I then went with for another 1st using Mitchell's Wool Fat for the first time ever............................................I know, I know, I know.ALL these years of shaving this way and I somehow never got to trying it. I will say I guess I have better than average water or I was chosen or whatever I didn't have any trouble getting a nice lather that produced the legendary slickness and Have the post shave feel of my skin I hear about as well. The scent is an amazing oak, vanilla almost like a bourbon..............................................NOPE, just kidding, it's soap scent but a great shave was had. Today I was back to using 50+ year old Gillette's for that focus this week on the 30DC Crew at TSD. For that I have my 1960 F4 Fatboy found at the Flea Market for $3 and $50 more to get it redone in Rhodium. Paired with a 2nd use Gillette Spoiler and the whiskers were virtually jumping out of their follicles in fear. Topped with the Humphrey's, Nivea Deep and hit some shots of Man in Black Essence and I'm ready to tackle the day or let the day tackle me. Have a Stupid Fun Day Everyone !!
