  5. Cella shaving soap

CH razor (I don't know the maker)

    Yaqi mokka express badger

    Clubman pinaud as

This is one of the three razors I used this week where I did a touch up of the edge with a la veinette coticule under running water. It greatly improved the edge. After the first pass my face already looked presentable.

Plan is to hone two swedes (ae berg and a ja hellberg) this weekend for next week shaves.

Stay safe and have a good weekend.

And that Boker is such a classy shape... shoulderless with a French point - so nice. :eatdrink047:
  10. Shepherd cast steel, maker’s mark dates from 1787, so quite an old razor. Mike Hoskins aka ‘Outback’ did the masterful restoration of the original translucent golden horn scales. Cream was SMN lathered with. Simpsons Keyhole 3and Agua Balsamica finished up a perfect shave. 230 years later, it’s still shaving very well indeed, as many of the cast steel razors do.

  14. Thank you gentlemen, it shaves wonderfully. When I first joned it, the edge was steaight and even off the bevel setter, always a good sign. No fin, foil, sparklies, etc.
  15. The same to you! Pics of the Swedes please!

    Cold Water Rinse
    Cella Shave Soap
    Oscar11 Synthetic
    Weck Sextoblade
    Personna Hair Shaper

    Lustray Spice After Shave

The Cella Shave Soap was applied with the Oscar11 Synthetic. One pass and touch ups with the Weck Sextoblade with a Personna Hair Shaper blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  19. Continuing the old Engish theme, an unrestored (though the scales have been swapped out) Rodgers Refined Steel which I assume is cast steel. Soap was MdC fougere paired with Floris 89 AS/EdT. This is a lovely pairing BTW. Many of these old cast steel razors have really great steel in them and this is one of them.
