After today's lather, which was pretty decent: I transferred the remaining soap to my Aesop bowl. I didn't even bother to take the blade out of the razor after yesterday's shave, something I almost never do. The shave was quite good and I avoided all manner of bloodshed. After the post-shave ritual of Witch Hazel and C.O. Bigelow ASB, I spritzed on some legitimate Oud cologne: The pre-reformulation Yves Saint Laurent M7 Oud Absolu This is some seriously nice juice.
Wonderful warm water shave Paul. Do you have a scuttle to heat the water which will heat the lather as well?
So did you bust out Gordon Lightfoot’s “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald”? Congratulations on the soaps demise. The remnants of can be save to make a Clown Soap.
Thank you, Dave! I don't use Brut often, but I do enjoy it when I do. I think the scent of Brut may not blend well with that of Electric Sheep though. Shortly after the shave, my daughter walked into the room and asked me why it smelled like bug spray in there.
Cella has made the cut to be included with my long term plan of a streamlined shaving soap inventory. So, when the time approaches for a refill, I will be buying the brick (keeping the unused portions in cold storage).
