Actually, you get the green inserts so that you can use long Personna Hairshaper blades. They are almost as long as a standard 3 inch straight razor. I do like using the 1/2 DE blades, but like I said, I prefer the Personna Hairshaper blades because they are more efficient. I can get 10 shaves with one Personna blade.
There is a difference between being 55 and 60. It's nice to have input from family members, but wear what you like. I will be 66 in June and I don't mind the "old man scents".
Y'know, I never saw a Clubman ad on TV.....like "It's The Clubman Super Bowl!" Maybe that means Doc Pinaud's classic has always done well. But then again you had Butkus, Lucas, and Robustelli with their Rise ads-perhaps they loved it and felt the shaving world should know about it, even if it is successful.
Was Maya the one who doesn't want to get married? But to be serious..perhaps that's why Clubman Reserve was made....no powder in that mama.
Joe, all joking aside I generally do as I please. So if I wanted to wear them I would. While many rave about remembering the scents fondly from trips to the barber shop. To me they remind me of the old guy in the back of church with way too much aftershave. I don't have a nostalgic bone in my body so using something from a previous generation has no appeal to me. Floid Blue is just about as traditional as I can take. Even then I can only handle it in small doses.
No they want to get married but neither want kids. I am pretty sure that when picking a mate, Clubman and the like would not move the guy up the charts.
