1st of the 1st gen Gillette British Aristocrat, Bic Chrome Platinum, shave 5
    [IMG] [IMG]

1st of the 4 iterations of the 1st gen British Aristocrat. These were sold between 36 - 38 and can be identified by the center bar as seen in the 2nd picture. 1st of the 1st gen Aristocrats use the same style center bar as the US versions produced in the same time frame.

The 1st gen Aristocrats far as I can tell all shave the same and are the most aggressive of the British made TTO razors I've ever used. End result BBS finish achieved.

I also have a 2nd iteration 1st gen Aristocrat. I haven't noticed a difference between the either. I also have a 2nd gen Aristocrat and I'd opine it is pretty much the same as the 1st gen Aristocrats. It is definitely an aggressive razor for sure. Another day it will get shaved against the 1st gen to confirm how different if any they are.

very cool.i am not that bothered myself to be honest, happy to have what i have.i won't spend more to get the earlier version per se.same as the different populars.my only far future purchase will be a clean president razor, only because i prefer nickel/rhodium razors over gold ones.:)

I’ll call it “Manly Monday” right out the gate. It’s like Terry Crews jumped into the shave den and punched me in the yapper when I use Stirling Gatlinburg. The scent pulls no punches and I truly enjoy it! Though Terry walloping my melon in the morning probably not so much...

Razor of the day the quite lovely Gillette Aristocrat Junior from around 1956-58. Another beautiful Brit A’crat that came in a lovely red case with the red retaining band. Thus, the 56-58 timeframe. Regardless it is another well made Gillette razor from the UK and shaves wonderfully mild. Loaded with a Feather blade on its fifth use (and still going strong) for today.

Lovely and leisurely shave this morning packed full of super and strong goodness! Topped off with JV Dark Rebel! Boom!

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Gillette Aristocrat Junior 1956-58
    Blade: Feather Hi Stainless
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Tuxedo - Sagrada Familia
    Lather: Stirling Gatlinburg
    Aftershave: Stirling Gatlinburg
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum Stick
    John Varvatos Dark Rebel
