Yes it does. Charlie has our baby picture and he was the favorite. That is why he is the way he is.....spoiled.
Thanks Charlie! This project has been fun. Not only did I install spindle speed control but I also added spindle feedback. So if the spindle slows down, the controller automatically reduces the feed rate, reducing load. If it slows more than 10% the controller halts all movement until spindle speed catches up. Really cool! Just so you know, controllers expect the spindle speed encoders to return revolutions per second (RPS)... not revolutions per minute (RPM). So when you calculate spindle speed in RPM and send that to the controller it feeds at 60x the intended speed. It then makes a very loud noise and everything stops. Don't ask me how I know. Also, I am off work tomorrow. I was planning to make a bunch of brushes. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
If you have one of those that is expendable feel free to PM me with terms. I’d love to have one. Even though I haven’t bought anything this year yet, I have no such restrictive commitment.
If these things were healthy to eat. I’d do it more often. Fatty pork, lots of brown sugar, butter or margarine, honey or agave, sweet sugary bbq sauce. Lump charcoal, hickory chunks, clean fire at 225-275, 3 hours indirect, 1 hour in foil with the sweet slurry, 1 hour back on grill for sauce glaze and set. Or something like that.
Do not be afraid of Feathers, Paul. The sharpest stuff cuts hair better. Low blade angle, light touch, stretch the skin.
Yeah I asked because ya never know. In other forums it was stipulated that buying to pif or gift away was allowed. Some even said frags were allowed as it was not a shave related item. Some use it other times of day and some use it even when they don't shave. I figured it was a tough crowd here. If Patrick @9nein9 can't get one I would be willing to empty mine out into other containers and send him the empty. Normally in my view helping a shave brother out always trumps a sabbatical, no buy or whatever you want to call it in my book and I would just do it but since monetary loss is on the line for me I wanted to abide by the local rules here which is why I asked. It's all good and just makes me more determined to not fail this attempt.
My Rule this month indicates that I must apply a higher attention to angle and pressure with a lesser blade. Going back to a Feather with this same tool will be a relaxing pleasure where the lightest of touch cuts the hair. Makes divergences in angle inconsequential, similar to a straight. I relax when a use my fave sharp stuff and bring the A-game when I use lessers.
They are not trying to smuggle a 7 oz bottle available at WallyMart. They are talking about ‘the mother load’ of that magic elixir from our youth. Don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.
That's cool, Evan! I appreciate you doing this for all of us and including us in the journey. Let me know if you need someone to check your unit conversions. I work mainly in Furlongs per Fortnight (FPF), so we may need to change your CNC program. I've contacted the MrEE Mystery Brush Works QA/QC department to be on the lookout for a batch of "Monday" brushes.
January 18, 2021 Yates 921 H Plate Gillette 7 O’clock Black Elite Shaving Desert Ironwood WSP Cedar Citron Myrsol Agua de Limon WSP Oud Citron Solid Cologne I am up and moving early to start the new week. Don't ask me what I think about Mondays. I wend with the WSP Cedar Citron this morning. This soap was a Christmas gift from Asha and is my only non tallow WSP soap. I found the soap easy to load and lather. Overall the performance of the soap was excellent. I do like the tallow version better but they are very close. However, the scent is simply fantastic. Three passes and touch ups caught the baby with ease. A splash of Agua de Limon followed by the Oud Citron solid cologne has me smelling good for the day. I hope everyone has a great Monday.
Great shave Clint and especially like te look of that brush and knot. Have a good Monday, hate them to as they're my longest day.........
Bill, I suggest a 30-day rule to make sure your technique is dialed in. Lathering the ribs with the Sweet Baby Ray's sauce can be tricky. I recommend 3 passes by the serving platter - with, across, and against. For post-BBQ stomach conditioning, I further recommend a quart of Rocky Road. I love science. I'm packed and will be out the door shortly.
Cracks in the facade are beginning to appear. The walls will come falling down shortly. Everyone, stand back and grab a hard hat. I was great two-day run, Dave. Maybe even a new record. @jtspartan, have you selected your Karve handle length, and top & bottom plates yet?
Monday January 18, 2021 Razor: Lupo Dual Comb .72 OC/.95 SB Blade: Astra SP (1) Brush: Burma Shave Boar Soap: Vintage Williams AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70 AS 2: Vintage Vintage Aqua Velva Fragrance: Azzaro Visit Up today is the Vintage soap and splash from the kit I received recently. I'm not sure about using the blades yet Got an amazing lather for the New Lupo Dual Comb to ride thru. The Lupo is going to be a welcome addition to the den I can tell already. I like it better than the DLC Lupo I sold. The SB .95 side seemed much more forgiving and smooth than the .72 OC side. The razor does seem to drag a bit. thought the DLC coating is what caused that feel but it may be in the design and the angle that it requires to shave with that gives the drag effect and no doubt the reason the SB feels better even at a higher gap. Comparing it to the Yates razor with the H plate there is much less gap than the Yates. The Yates has the clamp point of the razor more away from the blades edge but also has more of a bend on the razor blade giving it the rigidity I prefer even at a further back clamp point. The Lupo is a narrower head design. The photo shows the comparison. So I got a nice comfortable shave and am glad to have the Lupo in the den. After 1 shave I think the SB .95 will be my preference and may trade the .72 SB for a .95 SB but more shaves and experimentation is needed before deciding. All that said I like it but the Yates with the H and possibly the Hybrid are still my preferences. Topped with the Humphrey's and Auqa Velva which is more a Fresh Green Vetiver to my nose while the more current Vintage (Blue) and Modern are more a Fresh Aquatic to me. I enjoy them all ! Azzaro Visit is a great scent and cheap so you can use more which you need to if you wanna be "That Guy" Take care and have a great day everyone !!
