That's a really eye-catching blade! The shape reminds me of a scimitar!

It's been quite a while since I've seen someone using something from the Royal line of aftershaves. Love it!

    Used two today.

A nice heavy 11/16th Trustee straight razor. It shaved very smooth and clean.

And for a self indulgence, I used this very nice 2.5 inch X 3/8th F.W. Engels Special for lip and chin.

Chromed the dome with my new-to-me George Wostenholm IXL wedge. Still refining the edge but did a decent job. Followed it with edging my beard using my also new-to-me Klas Törnblom which totally punked the Wosty. Brush was my trusty Burma Shave. Prorasso red shaving cream. Used Florida Water for aftershave, and rubbed down with my Osma alum block for good measure.

    Yaqi badger brush

    Cella shaving soap

    Pitralon pure AS

I honed this razor naniwa professional 1000 - 3000. Then shapton glass stone 4000 - 8000. Then a coticule (la veinette) with thin slurry (this could be a step back). Finished under running water. The shave was very good. Almost no alum feedback, but very keen.[IMG][IMG]

Blue #2 Filly 14, soap was MdC original in ‘brain bowl’ lathered with a Keyhole 4. AS was the always exquisite SMN lavande. I am smooth and refreshed as Billy would say.

    Homemade brush, Oumo HMW

Excellent shave. I'm trying out the Oumo HMW knot and am very impressed with it initially. It easily worked up a nice lather with Williams and had a great face feel. I look forward to using it again. Have a good one. Having trouble with photos, sorry.

7/8 Herder 49, cream was SMN and a splash of Floris Elite finished up a BDBS shave. These razors were the cheap ones that were on eBay for a while, setting the bevel was a chore, but after that easy pie and they shave like a million bucks.

Second shave with this John & William Ragg near wedge. Wonderful result. :happy036: I think skin stretching is a key component of shaving with these near wedges - even more so than is already true.

    Argan Oil PSO
    Shavemac 2-Band Silvertip Badger
    Castle Forbes Lavender Shaving Cream
