Great shave Clint and hope your mom gets in for the vaccine. What would you compare the feel of the Tradere OC to?
Jason @jtspartan inspired me yesterday to break out the Dscosmetics ZO head which is a stainless steel clone of the R41 Muhle head. Mine is mounted on the Dscosmetics Ladder handle. The Parker CHST (chrome handle silvertip) did an excellent job with the Soap Commander. I loaded a fresh Astra SP in the ZO and completed three passes. This is a razor that you do not want to drive on auto pilot. If you take your time and pay attention you are rewarded with a very smooth and efficient shave. Finished the shave off with a few squirts of Irish Chestnut by Andy Hilfiger. Yes Jason I avoided the Clubman just for you this morning. I hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!
Thank you Dave. Getting scheduled for the Covid vaccine here in GA is a nightmare. It really shouldn't be this hard. I find the Tradere OC smoother and more efficient than the Yates H Plate.
Great shave Danny and a great value razor from everything I've read. Have a great day ! Wow, that's a glowing endorsement. Thanks and glad I'm in a no buy mode !
I love the triple-M law firm . Naaah, I'll limit my "fancy" purchases to hand-soaps and one order of Clubman Country Club shampoo(not yet out of the current one, but I know I will be before year's end). As for bodywashes, I'll just go the "free-shipping" route as I say, with Dial or Nivea (both nice "4 Men" bodywashes). It will be interesting indeed to see if I can open up some space in my den, a den which makes others look like they're on steroids in comparison
The only thing I'd want to do(see)in Brooklyn is the location of the old Ebbetts Field. I guess it's just a bunch of apt. blds. today.
I'm not a Bruins fan. I was in the Bobby Orr days, but that ended when they decided to prefer playing "in the trenches" hockey.
Excellent shave Dave! However, your experiment is flawed because you used two different blades. In order to make a true razor comparison, you should have used two new blades of the same brand. Sorry, that's my science background getting in the way. Have a good day.
January 19th DS Cosmetic Z0/ Voskhod (2) Zenith boar/Resin Palmolive Menthol SC Thayers Maol Frosted Frankinlime An ok shave this morning. I really do find the Voskhod harsh feeling in this clone, but the results were fine. A little left on the lower neck and I’ll give the Rapira SS a run for the next few days in it. The Palmolive ran its course today. I liked this cream, but I don’t think I’ll rush out to repurchase. I prefer the Stick and can always MBomb it. Finished with the quality Maol splash to complete a combo that would have done fine on Menthol Monday. Face felt pretty cold walking the dogs this morning! Have a great day all.
Joe, No problem and I expected a comment on that hence the comment that I stated, " it isn't a perfect experiment ". It is though an experiment good enough for me to make a decision for myself based on my extensive experience with the blades used. I didn't want to chuck any before put 2 fresh ones in for tomorrow
Great "ok" shave Jason. Shame the blades don't agree with you but there are plenty of choices out there.
