Beautiful razor @taskind ! The Grelot 14 was still out, so it got the nod, cream and AS were AdP. What a great shaving blade, very thinly ground at the edge but apparently sensitive to the hone. Once you find the right hone it shaves like a butterknife.
5/8" Wade and Butcher Special, Sheffield England. To be perfectly honest, Not very impressed. I refurbished and honed. Took the hair from my arm easily. It held in my hand nicely. Very comfortable. However, It did not glide smoothly through the whiskers and shaving soap. Perhaps I'll hone it again with 12000 and 15000 whetstones and give her another try. Anyone have a suggestion from a similar experience?
Thank you Jeff, and beautiful Tanifuji this morning! I do enjoy the Hoshi Tombo razors, and there are so many options... asymmetrical, symmetrical, framebacks, you name it.
I have dropped back to the 8k, or even the 4k, after an initial hone if I didn't like the shave. Staying in the finishing range just never got me to the sharpness I was missing. But no reason not to experiment... any excuse to get out the stones. Tom
I was going to do the same. I assumed since it took arm hair so easily it would shave nicely. Thank you for your advice, Tom. Best wishes

6/8+ TI Bijou de France, soap was MdC rose lathered with a Tulip 3 two-band brush, and followed by D. R. Harris Pink. This was the maiden shave withnthis razor sporting my own edge, and it shaved like a Filly. Not surprising since it is also a full hollow singer.
