    Good morning gentlemen!

    Shavette Shave #234
    Dovo Shavette
    Feather 1/2 DE blade
    Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush
    Stirling Bay Rum SS and AS
    Dickenson's Unscented WH (not pictured)
    Nivea for Men ASB (not pictured)

    Still working my way to finish this soap. My boar brush shed 2 bristles, but that is fine because it hardly loses any hairs. It did gave me a nice, hydrated, slick and creamy lather. Did 2.5 passes for an IBSS + with a chin weep that disappeared without intervention. After 3 shaves, the Feather really lost its sharpness that I binned it at the end of the shave. If I used it in a DE razor, then maybe I would get six shaves.

    Santa Maria Novella~~Simpson Rover~~2011 Mühle R41/Feather~~Nasomatto Nudiflorum
    Admittedly, a "Focus" is far easier than a "Rule".
    Sticking with the R41/Feather combination until 1/31.
    Today's lather is brought to you by the Monks of Santa Maria Novella.
    Their Crema da Barba is a delicious menthol cream (    firm-ish) subtly scented with
    one of their most popular fragrances, Tobacco Toscano.
    I do scoop some product into my Aesop bowl and create the lather.
    The Rover, whose handle I am finding uncomfortably small, was
    successful mixing up a particularly shiny and slick lather:

    Day two with this Feather blade and the initial harshness is gone, allowing for
    a much more comfortable shave. Even with the extreme blade exposure of the R41,
    I never felt that I was removing a layer of epidermis.
    Two minor weepers, not unusual for this razor were quickly handled afterwards
    with the Witch Hazel and Proraso aftershave balm.
    Today's FOTD© is another juice from the house of Nasomatto, from 2018:
    Nudiflorum.

    Here are the notes, which are fairly straightforward.

    I am getting the floral top, but imagine the bouquet just on the edge of turning rotten.
    Now, that certainly doesn't sound appealing in those words, but the musk is imparting
    an earthy aspect (not wet dirt, like vetiver), such as civet.
    It is strangely intoxicating and the projection is strong.
    We'll see about its longevity as the day progresses.    ​

    fine shave and pic Joseph:cool:..i though about getting some of the shave cream as i love the scent,but am unable to get the cologne up here..so no go .maybe that will change one day..:)
