Thank you Dave. I hope you have a great day as well. Thank you Jeff. This one was easy. The scent was strong enough for even someone like me to pick them out.
Excellent shave Jeff! I feel the same about my Dovo shavette because it introduced me to straight shaving.
I agree that the menthol in the shave cream is more prominent than the tobacco. After almost 7 years in this hobby, if I had to choose a "barbershop" scent, this would be it. The Tobacco Toscano aftershave flips the scenario and puts the menthol in the background. I really enjoy another product from SMN and that is their potpourri, which is, incidentally, available as an aftershave. I have their lovely clay pot and we use it in our downstairs "powder room". Lasts a really long time and the scent is quite pleasing.
That's quite a long day Dave. Cool Type F setup for your very early shave. Coffee, lots and lots of coffee. Hope you have a great day! Such awesome scales on the Genco Joe, very nice. Another avatar change, time seems to be flying! Hope your day is great!
Thanks Blair, I'm hoping to cut it short at lunch which isn't really short but it is what it is. My boss is a jerk Edit: for those that don't know I work for myself and I'm the jerk LOL
I put the Hawks down this morning. I need a little more time to spend with them so I decided to shave with the aluminum Hawk V2 when I have more time this weekend. The Simpson Trafalgar T3 beat the brakes off of the Col. Conk Amber this morning. I loaded a fresh blade in the Above the Tie aluminum SE1 for three smooth passes this morning. I really like the SE1. The alum was barely noticeable. A good splash of Pinaud Clubman Aftershave Lotion and I am ready for Friday. Hope all is well with y'all today!
Great report and combination Jeff! Have a MOLC day! Super acquisition and details Clint, sounds like a great fragrance, have an amazing Friday!
I will sit idly on the sidelines, enabling whenever possible, and sip my cappuccino with pinky extended on this one.
Great shave and a very special razor, Jeff. Enjoy your day! It's going to be in the 40s and sunny today here in the Land of Tabac, so I hope to be outside soaking up vitamin D this afternoon. We had 50 and sun yesterday, and that even called for short pants.
Awesome shave, Clint. I like that scent description on the SMN aftershave. Sounds like a good one. I hope that you're feeling better and that life has calmed down. Enjoy your day, my friend!
Disappointing shave today(not entirely disapppointing, but enough so. 1st pass went fine until I got to S.Porcupine Alley. I don't know how it happened, but it got bloody. I had to watch that area for the rest of the pass, and the next one. I returned to the Jeeves Bay Rum Soap/Stephan Bay Rum Aftershave, and while nothing of this sort happened yesterday, it sure did today. Neosporin and a band aid calmed it down some. I'll do the Neosporin thing again in a few hours. But as for the rest of the shave I was pleased. I only wish the cut didn't happen or else I'd give this one a top rating. As it is, though, Pretty Excellent.
