Thanks! The whole vaccination procurement process here has been an absolute farce riddled with corruption. So we'll have to wait months unfortunately.

    Feather AC DX (Kamisori style)
    Schick Proline B-30 (1)

This is where the NB '21 just might kick my butt.....wanted to use one of my absolute favorite fragrances, Gondolier from PAA. It's awesome to my nose, an absolute top fragrance compared to any in my little fiefdom of aroma choices. Unfortunately, the soap is nearing 1/3 left, and barely half for the aftershave & cologne bottle. Have to use it sparingly for the remainder of '21. :sad024:

Here's PAA's scent description: Experience the classic, masculine, old world scent of Italy with every spritz! Gondolier is a rich, balanced bouquet of Bergamot, Rose, Jasmine, Oakmoss, Coumarin, Citronella, Juniper & Cedar.

Wanted a quick easy quick shave mid morning today, using a near mindless open edge tool. Can't explain it, but skin feel and shave closeness seems unmatched (particularly a few hours after shaving) when I shave with an open edge compared to DE safety razors. Some SE razors get close to matching the open edge face feel for me....a Blackland Vector, for instance, which uses the same blade. This 2 band badger knot from The Golden Nib is a great latherer....loaded in the PAA tub until the soap hit the base of the knot, and moved to my bowl for building the CK6 formula lather. Goopy, almost stringy concoction turns into creamy rim overflowing lather goodness with a little added hydration, face feel next to perfection when mixed with painting and lather building swirls. Two passes today, WTG, XTG (near ATG) with zero crimson issues or irritation. Squirt of PAA's Star Jelly, and then a smathering of the matching aftershave & cologne (it lasts 6+ hours easily), and ready for a lazy Sunday.

Question on the NB '21 rules.....does replating a razor count against? My recently acquired Barbasol Floating Head, while perfectly functional, could use a replate as the top plate has the tinge of brass showing through the top plating after I tried to buff out some of the micro scratches. My OCD on this imperfection is itching. Also....what about working on restoring a straight razor I already own? I have a Wade and Butcher 7/8 Celebrated that I was thinking of killing some time with. To be clear, it's me doing the work, not something I'd have to send out like the Barbasol FH.

Hope everyone has a Great Day!

Fantastic shave Jeff. I am looking forward to my Thistle returning after it spends some time at the Sandpoint Spa.
MWF- SWMBO picked up a puck for my birthday. It will make it’s debut some point this week following a trip to the grater.

You may have to check with the No Buy Crew for current rules, but traditionally the replacement of consumed in stock consumables was exempted in NB.

I saw the article and that's how I knew they moved to Reade Street in 1899. The reason I dated your razor from 1899 and into the early 20th Century because you had the ad and thought it was part of the provenance of your razor.

    Terrific shave Blair!
If I was making the rules, no buy means not buying anything shave related and that would include replating your top plate and buying anything to restore your W and B. I am a stickler for the literal sense of no buy. The only exception would be to get cotton balls to apply alcohol to sterilize and also get the oil off a straight razor. In any event, it really is @jtspartan Jason's call.

No Buy for me means no additions. Replating and or restoring a razor isn't an addition in my book. The soap is replacing a consumed item.

    Stunning picture BTW.
