  1. I bought a new water heater over the weekend (after cleaning up after the flood the old one caused.) Sorry I didn’t think to take a pic.
  2. Where was this thread for 2020?

    I'll be back for 2022!

  4. Well Sara a hot water tank IS shaving related....unless you are a cold water shaver ;). I applaud your new purchase and Welcome! That is probably the most $$$ spent so far.
  5. Oh I'm sure we will be here in 2022 and probably have 2x the members :D

  11. Just because I am not buying anything, doesn't mean you should not.

About the only way I will buy something this year is if I see a rarity that I have wanted at a reasonable price. Thrift store toggle, yard sale bottom dial, junk shop New 1909.... Wont happen...

I just spent way to much money on a new bicycle build and used my discretionary income plus....
  12. I sincerely hope so!

  13. Normally I only post purchases of vintage shave related items. I don't know why I rarely post purchases of new items but maybe I don't want anyone to know how much of an addiction I actually have.
This thread has given me boldness to pull back the curtain just a wee bit.

Here's what I can remember purchasing so far this year.

-Four, yes four big bottles of Pecksniff's Black Oak & Cedar Fine Fragrance hand soap (yes, it's that good!)
-A new boar brush I didn't need but it's stiff and scrubby, it smells like a dead animal, and it's orange (well, it did smell but I cleaned it)
-Nine soap/cream samples that I have absolutely no need for since I have boxes of unused soaps and creams (these are ones I didn't have already)
-A bar of Nesti Dante Citron and Bergamot bath soap (even though I have enough bars of bath soap to give several away at my funeral even if I live past 90)
-Finally, not shave related but in the men's grooming department; A vintage Swank telescopic shoe horn/brush. It might ? be shave related since it's partly shiny metal and partly a brush. Extends for an easy reach and folds for storage/travel. And no, I didn't need it; I just wanted it.

  14. :signs097: but I think I'll stick with No Buy.
  15. Way to break into this new thread Clint!
  16. I already ordered a new custom razor. I am not planning on buying any soaps or anything else, but I will never be a no buyer.
  17. awesome Joe.looking forward..:)
  18. So if you committed to a No Buy thread for this year, but you also follow this thread, is that like being married and watching pornography?

    Asking for a friend.

  19. Well, you know what they say, "Sometimes even a blind ...." Oh never mind. :ashamed001:
  20. Not really comparable, but both seem perfectly OK to me.
