  1. 2021-01-26, Tuesday

Today, 113 years ago, my daddy was born.

Now that I am the age of a grandfather, or great-grandfather, I realize how little I have treasured his wisdom. And I don't speak well of him because he died: I speak well of him because, while he was still alive, I was able to appreciate his wisdom. It's just too bad I didn't do it sooner.

I still remember his struggles with shaving and I inherited his Ball End Tech and his Omega.
They are legally mine, although I have no idea where they ended up....

However, now that I have an exaggerated amount of razors and brushes, today I managed to find a brush small

enough to draw a wonderful lather from a somewhat small bowl and a modern razor: I managed not to use anything vintage, my weakness as much aesthetically as functionally.

I offer you a very sad photo that, in my imagination, should have been very, very different.
But... you are used to it, aren't you?

    Tabac Tuesday's Shave
    zcws.jpg

    Cold Water Rinse
    Tabac Shave Soap
    SlimGem Silvertip Badger (first shave)
    Triceratops 3d Printed Razor
    Personna GEM SS PTFE
    CWR
    Tabac ASB

The Tabac Shave Soap was applied with the @SlimGem Silvertip Badger brush. One pass and touch ups with the Triceratops 3d Printed Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

  14. Perbacco, Matt!
    Thank you.

    Yes, it is.
I thought it would match a room like this: most of the furniture at home is made of
old furniture found in attics and barns, which I renovated.
I've been hunting for electrical oldies and found knobs and wiring brand new (very old stock!) in a hidden shop in Milan: I had the 'actual' ones in my parents home, when I was a child...

Probably he did not know how to get rid of them and I've been very happy to buy them: a perfect combination!
Of course the work is poor as I did it personally...

  20. Tuesday morning:

    La Roche-Possay Exfoliating Scrub
    Razorock Plissoft 26mm Monster
    Super Speed/Astra day 2
    Groom SS
    Fino ASB
    Groom AS Splash
    Bleu de Chanel EdP

This Groom soap and aftershave are both made right here in Montreal and they’re fabulous. The soap has a beautiful old school barbershop scent, it lathers like a champ - real thick, rich, with good slickness, and its postshave feeling is pretty good. The Fino balm is unscented, it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing - a very fine South African product indeed. The Groom aftershave has that same awesome scent as the soap but it doesn’t interfere with the Bleu de Chanel. What a marvellous shave this was!

Have a great day - be well and safe!
