Razor: Gem G bar- MFG1953-58,<mid range, Great razor and a nice razor in the hand with its finger flange at the end for comfort.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) excellent blade, very sharp, smooths out nicely with great longevity & predictable.
Soap: Tabac- nice mild clean flowery scent, with excellent lather qualities & good post shave feel IMO.
Brush: Yaqi tuxedo knot 24mm black marble- , loft 54mm, great lather creator, soft cloud like tips, some back bone & excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser+ a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor(RR Creed Adventis version) with witch hazel + a dollop of Nivea balm.(-20C today)
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation+ no weepers =Excellent shave with my Gem G bar + a coated SS Gem blade.

Schick Canadian Type E3 injector, vintage schick platinum plus blade, shave 2


Blade is a 1990 NOS from a 7 blade key in an unopened box. Blade still felt super smooth but the shave closeness dropped off a bit. Maybe these particular blades are the types that you get one good or great shave on first use then rest are average to medicore shaves. BBS finish was not achieved and I am 99% sure it has to do with the blade and not the razor.

To honor your Louisville Slugger brush, here's some silly baseball broadcasting: "And there's a LINE DRIVE BASE HIT to the third baseman-he picks it up, fires across, and the batter is out". Logic: I mean c'mon, you have to HIT the ball in your effort to reach a BASE.....this batter smoked the ball but failed to get to the base.

***EDIT - 2 pass + stubble seek & destroy. BBS. Zero irritation. Super smooth. This is what I paid $400 for on this razor. Probably among the best shaves I've had with this one, but then again, the OneBlade typically gives a great shave. Stephens smells good.
