You are so right Dr Spartan. Covid just screwed up my down time. I need to recapture that time. I do need to get out on the bike.
Beautiful shave Clint and I hope your headache gets better. I ain't no doctor but you have been under too much stress lately with work. You need to try and get a short vacation in. Take care.
January 27th Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements SS & ASB - Atmotic Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Switchback 400 w/TGN Badger Drew Dick 7/8 Damascus Giorgio Armani - Acqua Di Gio Pour Homme Another favorite lather aroma today with PAA's Atmotic, a dark woody spicy (ginger) based fragrance. Fun rim overflowing CK6 lather as usual, thick with super slick residual face feel while shaving. 2 passes with some neck touch ups, only 1 minor weeper, barely skimmed open one of the upper lip setdown errors from yesterday. Shaving with a smiling blade makes each stroke almost a cross grain stroke (much like a slant DE), depending on what part of the blade is set down first. The smiling blade also makes the neck troublesome area (right under jawline) just disappear. Nice smooth results today, almost a BBS, left a small sandpaper patch near the right ear. Quick palmful of PAA's Star Jelly for some skin nourishment, then a wifey super favorite with the Giorgio Armani ADG pour homme. It opens as a bright citrusy aquatic fragrance, with only a hint of the base notes coming through, my nose gets the dark woody (cedar) amber the most. Dry down definitely starts leaning towards the base notes, a musky, slight woody but complex aroma from the plethora of ingredients. Fragrantica Notes: Top notes are Lime, Lemon, Bergamot, Jasmine, Orange, Mandarin Orange and Neroli; middle notes are Sea Notes, Jasmine, Calone, Peach, Freesia, Cyclamen, Hiacynth, Violet, Rosemary, Coriander, Nutmeg, Rose and Mignonette; base notes are White Musk, Cedar, Oakmoss, Patchouli and Amber. Hope everyone has a Wonderful Wednesday!
Super shave Paul! The Zingari man soap is very easy to lather based on what I have seen and heard Have a nice day!
Congrats on the new brush, Joe. I like the T2 as well for quality, but do wish it was a tiny bit higher lofted or wider. Minor gripe, though. The SDM is very nice- you don't see too many of those circa 2016 Stirling splash bottles anymore!
Great job polishing the Yates, Dave. You have that brush in Cocobolo and Bamboo as well? Awesome. Same knot?
Schick E injector razors are great! I use mine for headshaves as well as faceshaves. I get BBS with it 98% of the time.
I don't recall ever seeing that soap before, Clint. Looks like a nice metal bowl as well. Hope the headaches subside.
Lol! I am fine with coming in as many as I can, but I have to put the brakes on it because I can only make so much because it affects my Soc. Security. I am going to be hurting when I file my 2020 tax return because I collected unemployment insurance. What I will do this year is tell them I am available this upcoming year, but I will not be available until Nov. Otherwise, I sm going to get nailed again.
Sounds like a great plan! Maybe you should at least take a 3 day weekend once a month and 2 3 day weekends during your "slow" months. I can't tell you how to run your consulting work, but it is just a suggestion.
