    Fine L'Orange Noir~~Ali Baba 2~~2011 Mühle R41/Feather~~Terre d'Hermès EdT/Parfum Comparison
Today's focus, aside from the R41/Feather, was to compare and contrast
2016 Terre d'Hermès EdT (sample, courtesy of @Dave in KY ) with Terre d'Hermès Parfum.
After the uneventful, yet brilliant shave, I applied, liberally the EdT to my neck and left wrist,
being cautious not to get any near my right wrist.
I then twice-sprayed the Parfum to my
    right wrist.
Now, it's off to the eye doctor...

    (To be continued)
It's now three hours later and I have done a fair amount of wrist-sniffing.
What's interesting, is that the personal "scent" that I am getting from 90% of my body
is from the EdT. It got a lot more skin coverage and resides right below my face.
So, I can go to my right wrist to immediately compare the Parfum.
    Here are my findings.
While both scents are equally pleasing, the best comparison I can make it that the
EdT is Blu-ray movie and the Parfum is 4K.
There is more dimension, depth, base notes in the Parfum.
The EdT is brighter, as if the treble on your sound system was raised,
while the Parfum boosts the bass.
There is a middle note patchouli on the EdT that is assertive, while the Parfum
boasts a woodier, fuller feel. I would also assert, that the Parfum, by the very nature of its concentration,
is going to have better longevity, BUT, the projection of the EdT, to my nose anyway,
may have the edge. Projection being, from how far away can you detect the scent.
I may or may not follow up this evening with an update, but my thanks go out to
Dave, who will be receiving a vial of the Parfum for his own analysis.

  5. Oh, I will when available. Also I'm on Mantic's mailing list-he sends out an e-mail each week.

  6. Interesting findings Joseph and thanks. Just don't expect me to be able to distinguish things as professionally as you do. I give a Dave likes or doesn't like type as I can't disect scents like most. Allergies and busted septum from football when younger kill the details for me.

  9. I'm more like you Jeff and it's why I found it funny the Nasal Barbarian was calling me out for my mix of scent choices the other day :happy097::happy102:

One more day with this Gillette. A quick and easy 2 pass shave before heading out to shovel snow early this morning. Got a great lather with the Cool...exposed the 'donut' on the bottom...guess that means it is down to about 2 years left on it.:)
I think I'll keep this razor and move my Schick I1 on instead. Do I think this is a better razor than the I1? Nope, but it is very functional with the twin blades it was designed for and that is what I've been using the I1 with out at the lake. I'll replace it with this one and move the I1 on to someone who hasn't tried an injector yet as they can use it with whatever blade they wish. Have to wait for spring to go get it, though. One in, one out and all that jazz.
Reached for the seldom-used Booster to finish off the nice shave as it does do well enough with the super Cool scent.
    Have a great day all!
  14. Did you wear out the comma key on your computer, Joseph?:happy088:
An excellent review and comparison between the two Terre d'Hermes options. Once @b1hart falls off the NB train, I'll look to the Parfum...

  15. Great shave Jason. Curious if on the injectors you can go back and forth from regular and twin injector blades or if the twin spreads the spring too much?

  16. I'll look into Youtube, but Mantic59's videos show me about correct angling and going easy. I'll try to work on that first.
