    Excellent report and insight, Barry.
    I would venture to say that 90-95% of the regular wet-shavers look back at their start and come to similar conclusions. You've jumped a high hurdle.

    Buzz mine every 2 weeks and did a head shave once. Too many wrinkles and scars to look presentable so leave mine at the buzz cut. Have a great day yourself too !

    Blade: Wizamet (1)
    Brush: 1979 Burma Shave Boar
    Soap: Lakewood SOCP (1508.5 Project)
    AS 1: Humphrey's Alcoholado Maravilla 70
    AS 2: Nivea 2 into 1 Splash
    Fragrance: Tommy Bahamas St. Barts

    Back to the 1508.5 project and this was a recovery shave in that I wanted something effective but not overly aggressive. The goal was to get a close shave and not add to the tenderness was still feeling in places from yesterday's debacle. That said I could feel on the 1st pass that I really should skip a day or 2 but I'm at over 2 years of never missing a shave since I started taking note as a daily shaver. I considered stopping after 2 passes but wasn't happy with what I could feel and envisioned how much growth I would have by afternoon. Completed 3rd pass and after post shave I felt better than yesterday. The Nivea 2 into 1 only available from Germany is amazing stuff for recoveries. I know it will take multiple careful days to make up for the thrashing I took on Friday from that Yaqi razor. We'll get there but I have another loaner 3D printed razor coming today to review.............Have a great weekend folks !!

    I've had/used this brush since I bought it in 1979 it doesn't have a scratchy bone/hair in it's body/bristles :happy088:

    Well I had a nice start this morning! I found out that I won a brand new R41 Muhle and a tube of Muhle shaving cream from a giveaway on a youtube channel. This will be my first open comb razor. I heard that the knurling is not great and that the handle is slippery when wet. Can I use my Rockwell 6C handle in place of the Muhle handle?
