  3. Nah, too much moisture in it. So far today’s show is very fluffy. I went out to shovel a path for the dogs to go out. It was not to difficult to manage.

  8. February 1

    Parker SRX
    Gillette Silver Blue (1)
30 Day Crew LE Poculi handle w/28 mm APShaveCo SynBad flat top knot
Tabac soap in the Philly Container
Alum, Witch hazel, USB, Almond oil, CC Bay Rum AS & Aramis Tobacco Reserve

Two passes and minimal touch-ups on 36 hours of growth left my cheeks BBS and DFS most everywhere else. I suffered one weeper on my neck where the corner of the blade bit due to operator error. My Bride kindly pointed out that it was near my jugular, and I'm still trying to figure out if that was encouragement or a warning. The LE brush whipped up a nice Tabac leather. I aimed for a thinner, wetter version of what I use with a DE, and it worked fine. The alum during the post-shave was more sparkly than normal but not bad. I finished with the CC Bay Rum (mug) and Aramis Tobacco Reserve (chest). The Aramis has no problem projecting straight through the AS. It's a wonderful scent for college professors and retired hillbillies.

I will likely use a DE tomorrow before my doctor's appointment, anticipating that I'll be nervous and not wanting to incur a boo boo. I'll return to my focus on Wednesday; however, Tabac will remain in continuous play. Why? Because I'm rational and don't live in Philly, that's why. :prrr:

All things considered, it was a pretty good first outing of my Parker SRX/Tabac focus. I have opportunities for improvement, and hopefully I will see progress over the next few days. I'm glad to see others joining in with us, and I look forward to joining this band of tempestuous troublemakers for another month of great shaves.

We got a massive 1" snowfall last night with more flurries expected today. I plan to get outside to charge up my Vitamin D cells this afternoon. My Bride is excited about two basketball games today. A new batch of party mix has thus been prepared.

    Grace and Peace.
