Thanks Joe, it's been a pretty good day so far. The world hasn't thrown anything at me that I couldn't throw back at it LOL Great shave Joe! IBBS ??
That may well be it, Gary, as I was thinking the same thing. After a couple more shaves, I'll insert a new Astra blade.
Thanks Charlie....I think one of the video freaks(possibly Mantic)mentioned that some do like to go South-North with it, just as I like to do with the disposeABLE.
I have WAY too many Avon scents. Wild Country is not my favorite but good and was popular. I have some if anyone in the 30DC hasn't tried it and would like to. Free for cost of shipping. I think I have 3 boxed ones left. 8f you can find them local you'd get them probably cheaper than shipping though. Thanks Gary Paul, there's a saying........When you think you aren't using pressure, stop using pressure.
very cool,a day a t a time.it took quite a long time for me to be able to shave daily with a DE..while i had been using carts for 35+ years and DE the last 4+ i have only been a daily shaver for just under 3. used to be 2-3 times a week..a red tip will require extra care at first as well..
Question on the extra care,,,when I switch blades, should I expect to see "dust" from the previous one first, which would of course lead to cleaning it out? I recall I did that quite a lot from borriwing my Dad's electric razors when I was first learning shaving.
very cool Dave,i got mine for 2 reasons-first it was a Mustang bottle and second because Wild Country wasn't offered too often in this bottle.Tai Winds was the common one offered..my mom sold Avon in the 70s....
Excellent shave Paul! Keep up with the lathering. Don't be chintzy with it! For DE shaves, you need to have that lather thick and hydrated, but not so much as it becomes drippy. The red splotches came from putting a little too much pressure on those sensitive areas. You found the right angle, but now the trick is to find it again when you move your razor from place to place. Great signs of improvement. You are on the right trail to the finish line of completing a shave using a DE.
You may see some soap "residue" when changing blades if you didn't rinse it out enough..nothing to worry about .my procedure if i am reusing a razor ..shave--loosen razor knob a little and run it under hot water.let it dry-next morning-TIGHTEN razor knob ,check blade alignment and shave again. rinse and repeat.you can clean the razor between blade changes with some dish soap and an old toothbrush if you wish/as needed...
Thank you Clint and you guys don't need the snow. Really, no one needs the snow unless you're a skier.
Thank you Myles. I do enjoy this Bay Rum. 7 hours after application I am still getting periodic whiffs of it.
awesome Karve shave and pic Jason.the OC "C" plate is said to feel similar to your "D" plate i believe..
