This setup is not for the faint of heart - in fact it takes a real menthol fanatic like myself to be able to tolerate and enjoy it. The African Potato X 3 soap has such a beautiful outdoorsy, earthy scent, it’s such a pleasure to lather up, it’s so slick, the menthol sensation is Stirling Glacial frigid, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep and the Arctique aftershave were a very appropriate finish. The brand new Astra Green blade helped to ensure a splendid BBS shave!

Shave of the Week Starting 8 Feb 2021

I purchased one of the original Flexi razor last year, November I think, and it was unfortunately defective. The company offered a refund or replacement. I opted for the replacement and received this past weekend. So off we go with the new one and it was just fine. The apparent defectives look to be resolved and I had a fine shave today. The blade gap looks a little scary at #6 on the adjustment scale so I started at 2.5. Very smooth and comfortable giving me an easy DFS. I think tomorrow I'll up it to 3 and see how it goes. So my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Second full, post-beard shave. I'd forgotten how strong and long lasting the scent of RR Tuscan Oud is. Effortless, 2 pass, minor touch up, BBS shave this morning.

Soap: RazoRock Tuscan Oud
Brush: Omega 10065 synthetic
Razor: Fatip Grande
Blade: Astra SP (2)
Aftershave: RazoRock Tuscan Oud

MMMonday, Feb 8th 2021

Razor: Micromatic clog Pruf(Peerless model)-MFG 1945, excellent mid range, I get great shaves with this razor, All brass + rack and pinion to open & close top cap.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (7) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum & Sandal wood, milder scent with excellent lather qualities, A bargain IMO.
Brush: Yaqi Artic sky 24mm, excellent lather generator, heavenly like soft tips, gentle scrub with back bone + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Ogallala Bayrum + sandal wood A.S with clove + a dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = Excellent shave with my MMCP peerless model + a coated Gem blade.(nice birthday shave)

Monday motivation I used MdC original to start the week off right paired with Fine Lavender Pour Homme. Lathered with the JR331 and shaved with the Gillette Slim Adjustable.
