Sorry about the fate of your beard, Jim. The good news is that the refinery will still send you home early with the goatee. :bounce017::bounce017::bounce017:

I remember years ago when we all had to have respirator fit tests for the first time, and we were required to shave every 24 hours. In rural Kentucky, this was a big deal for some guys. There is just something uncool about a guy sitting in his deer stand with a BBS face. ;)

Then came the random drug tests...another big deal for some people. After I heard all those complaints, I understood why we had the random tests. :D

    I now remember why I don't miss work...and you won't either.

I love everything about today's stunning shave photo. The gear, the colors, the lighting and even the matching props. Have a good one, my almost retired friend.

I didn't say your socks had holes. I suggested you might want to check your photos to prevent such an ungentlemanly occurrence. walks back earlier comment

I've been subject to random drug testing since 1989. I couldn't count how many coworkers that have been escorted out for failing over the years.

    Thanks Charlie :)

I'm guessing by properly organizing you mean putting everything behind glass and installing metal detectors. I will bring my own bib so I don't drool all over your floor;). You would probably have to escort me out the door after the tour because I would be hesitant to leave your den and would be standing like a deer in the headlights oogling all that fine Italian shave gear .

Got itchy eh? Do you polish that razor or is that the finish it came with?

Yeah, Joseph, at the time (2009)bthe Fatip Piccolo was the hyper efficient razor and an open comb. Muhle’s version was seen as much too mild and less efficient than the Fatip. Thus the 2011 R41 which overdid the efficiency and was viewed as harsh and introduced the hybrid comb for which the R41 is now known. The 2013 design attempted to tone down the harshness while maintaining the efficiency by slightly enlarging the top cap to a very slightly more acute angle with the concomitant effect on blade angle.

I read that it was just the opposite. The 2009 version was much milder than the Fatip. See below.
    From B&B
    “.................
That being said, I have done a lot of reading on this, and my understanding is that the 2010 R41 is quite mild and tame. The 2011, on the other hand, is EXCEPTIONALLY aggressive and will nick you or worse given even the slightest opportunity. The 2013 is is supposed to be slightly more tame than the 2011, but still WAY WAY WAY more aggressive than the 2010. Neither 2011 or 2013 are razors to be taken lightly, nor are they similar at all to the 2010.

Of course, anyone who has real first hand experience should feel free to correct anything I've said in error.
2011 R41 (Toothcomb) is a very aggressive razor
2010 R41 (Open Comb) is a very mild razor
2009 R41 is (Fatip) aggressive, but not near as much as the 2011.
