There were two reasons. 1) I did want to try the soap and I was just OK with the MdC. (I stiil have a fougere). 2) The trader has really helped me out lately and I wanted to help him out too. The croap is one of the firmest I have experienced. Really just this side of a soap.
I took two safety razors, Jason, my Supply V2 and my Bakelite handled Shake Sharp. I no longer shave my face with safety razors, only the dome. I don’t own a Simpson, but I do love the efficacy of this little brush. It has nice backbone while also feeling soft when face lathering. I own a few badgers, but my regular goto brushes are boar or synthetics. I like the feel of both along with the nice backbone. I have a few very expensive badgers, but find the backbone just doesn’t work for me.
Thanks, Gary! Thank you, Jason! My understanding is they can be possessed in the United States but not bought or sold. My first picture had nothing but south of Florida cigars but I thought better of it because there are political implications to some and politics have no place in our happy little corner of the internet. Cold water rinse works well for me. I never tried alum because I feel there isn't a need for it. I don't need the alum to indicate that my shave was not great. I don't get irritation and I rarely shed blood when I shave. Styptic pen is all I need to take care of the weeps that come my way. Please note that I am not against anyone using alum.
Sorry, Jim, wasn’t trying to bring up a political discussion. Absolutely abhor politics on our thread as well. Didn’t register with me until you mentioned it.
