    According to Karve, the OC plates lag the SB plates. Thus a C_OC is equivalent to. D_SB and so it goes, as Kurt Vonnegut would say! ;)

    That might be true but my personal experience does not correlate with their statement. To me, my D OC is step up from the D SB and more like the E SB. As I person that generally prefers OC razors, the Karve OC is not nearly as smooth as the SB variants.

    Giving the Italian paste another go 'round and today I built the lather on the puck.
    This "croap" is firm enough to allow such lathering.
    The E3 did a great job creating the lather.

    I get amused...

    when "reviewers" describe this soap's scent as "almond".
    I have a bottle of almond oil and for the life of me, cannot detect an aroma.
    Moving on, with the razor. My 1908 Gillette SR, loaded with a fresh Sharp Star.
    All passes, I was focussed on "wiping away" the lather.
    Important: Even when it didn't feel like the razor was cutting hair!
    Zero pressure.
    The ABC is slick enough to afford multiple strokes over the same area.
    Important: Don't do this if you aren't extremely secure with your technique!
    Completed the shave and would "almost" pass the cotton ball test.
    Witch Hazel clean-up x2, followed by an application of
