Lovely shave, Dave! I'm glad you're enjoying the Yates razor so much. I've heard great things about almost from its release. If I were still shaving my face with safety razors, I might have picked one up, but I have so many good safety razors now that I'm looking to unload instead of add.
@Trigger I'm totally on board with great head shaves. My dome shave today with the Supply and its fresh twinjector blade was amazing. It really does put one in a good mood. And I needed it today! My poor bride is terrified by the weather. I was hoping to leave tomorrow, but there's an ice advisory throughout VA, which is a major part of our drive. Now she's talking about Sunday, but we probably won't get home until Monday at this rate! Dang that woman is fearful!!
Great shave, Clint! I miss my MWF, but it doesn't travel well. That Tibam handle is great looking. I've seen other Tibam handles and they're all great looking!
Thanks, Dave, for the generous offer, but I know myself, and if I tried it and liked it, I'd end up adding one more safety razor that I don't need. Ignorance is bliss in this case!
I've heard wonderful things about that razor, but never shaved with one. I'm glad, because I'd probably buy one.
Lovely photo and shave, Terry! Hey nicks happen. I've done the same to myself with straights. My face is another story. I have a number of straight razor scars where I kept cutting myself before I strapped the weights on my forearms. Parkinson's and straight razor shaving do make life interesting. I'm glad to see you posting. Nice photo and summary, my friend! Hey, I'm one jab into the Modern vaccine. Coming back to TN in early March for the final one and to finish the cleanup on my recently deceased father-in-law's house.
This is the first time in months that I've been shaving with a soap other than Nancy Boy or MWF for more than one day. I do like this stuff, but prefer their Shaving Butter. I debated taking that one, but want to work my way through this one. When I opened it this morning it looked like it might have been forming granules. That's the one thing I don't like about Croaps. Had an awful experience with Grooming Dept Donkey Milk. I'll never buy another Grooming Dept product.
Thanks, Charlie, but it looks like we'll be leaving on Sunday now! If I were to force her to come with me tomorrow, it would not be a pleasant drive. She is a wonderful woman, but dang is she ever fearful! Telling her to trust in the Lord didn't come off well! Her retort was, "I've trusted in him all my life, it's you that worries me! That's what I truly love about this gal. So in the interest of marital harmony, we'll be leaving Sunday!
@jtspartan Maybe this can inspire when in hurry. http://www.ilrasoio.com/viewtopic.php?t=7786 Today the setup was all about time. You can call it ... quickie.
